Love it and appropriate for teens

Literally my all time favorite movie. Yes, the amount of sex and sexual references is a little annoying but the positive messages definitely make up for it. It’s a great movie to show your tweens and even teenagers will love it. I 100% recommend.

One of the best movies ever. Worth it despite bad language....

This is one of my favorite movies of all-time. I showed it to my kids (14 and 12) and both really liked it and responded to it. The language is off-the-charts bad, but it fits in with the characters and there are so many good messages in this movie that it is more than worth it. I would say this is Robin Williams' best movie and the scenes with him and Matt Damon are so powerful. A tremendous movie that holds up incredibly well...

Vulgar Jokes and Poor Language

I was embarrassed by the amount of shameless sexual jokes and innuendoes in this movie. This is not to mention the 150 or so F-bombs throughout the film. I would not recommend this movie for anyone who wishes to avoid such things.

Great movie, maybe too adult for younger audiences.

This movie is hard to understand for young ones, and even if they could, it’s inappropriate. Lots of language throughout: About 150 F-words, including “f-ck you” “motherf-cker” “go f-ck yourself” and sometimes used more than once in a single sentence. “ass” “retard” “shit” “up your ass” and other mild profanities. A long scene discusses a character masterbating and “jerk off” is used a lot during the scene. Characters kiss. A man is shown shirtless. Females wear shirts without bras. A bloody fight is shown in the beginning. LOTS of smoking and drinking throughout. Still a “must watch” movie.

Amazing movie, mature topics

Good Will Hunting is easily one of my personal favorites, as it tackles so many important issues. In addition to the amazing theme and writing, Matt Damon and Robin Williams both deliver electrifying performances, with amazing supporting cast. This seriously is one of the best movies. Throughout, extreme profanity and alcohol use is prevalent, in addition to sexually suggestive content. This is a must watch for all people, but I recommend waiting to be at least 16, to not only be mature enough to watch the film, but also be mature enough to relate and benefit from the themes presented.

Interesting

This is a fantastic movie with inspiring scenes of hope and ambition. Will Hunting is a kid that lives in a blue collar neighborhood but he is not a blue collard kid. He has a photographic memory and the smarts of great 40 year old professor. There are parts you don't look but you have to. This is a story inspiration and hope.
