Goodfellas

Watched this behind my parents back and really regret it because it's amazing but it's filled with realistic violence, threat and sex.

This movie is by far Scorsese's best movie. Goodfellas is a darkly funny gangster classic and just an awesome movie. There is a lot of violence, such as guys getting beaten up, threatened, shot, choked, etc. but 14+ can handle it. There are a ton of F words and foul language but if your kid is mature enough than it is a great movie to watch as a family. Overall, Scorsese's Goodfellas is a fun mob classic.

My favourite film, fine for 12s and over, violence is infrequent, fantastic story, nothing to graphic

This is by far my favorite scorsese film. It's interesting to watch and learn about. It does have slight innuendo and quite a bit of violence but it's barely even noticeable in the movie. It also has quite a bit of language but by the time your kids are 13 they will already have heard way worse. If you really like the movie it's based on a book that's equally fantastic.

this is a great and classic gangster film from one of the most prolific directors in film history. Robert De Niro was also really good in this film too. this is a brilliant gangster film with a great cast.

Violence 9/10 - Constant graphic bloody violence. People are shot, stabbed and tortured. Language/swearing 9/10 - Constant use of f***, s***, b**** etc. Sex 7/10 - Scenes of couples making out, implied sex, and one scene where a woman grabs a man's crotch and he grabs her butt and they make out. Drinking/Drugs/Smoking 9/10 - Constant drinking and smoking and a few scenes of cocaine snorting.
