"Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Bonnie Hunt star in this great film epic that you just don't want to end! Death scenes are both intense and disturbing, yes, but it helps you grasp the feel of being one of the prisoners! Listening, watching, WAITING for the execution that you know will end your life. Tom Hanks is great as prison guard Paul Edgecomb. As does Duncan as the accused double-murderer, John Coffey. The only let down is the language which is both continuous and explicit. But positive messages fill this very close adaption to the belovedStephen King novel. Such as how God is the almighty, trust, love, forgiveness, loyalty, and sticking up for what's right, no matter the consequences. At age 12, it was the first movie I'd ever cried in the end of. (I'm sorry, I just don't cry from The Notebook. Seen it 3 or 4 times, never cried. Maybe when I'm older.)And to this day is one of the only two movies I've ever cried in. It's a wonderful, breathtaking, and marvelous journey into another world(not literally)...except you never leave your Living Room. Go see it, I highly recommend it!"
