There's a lot of salty language, and it's very raunchy, but high school students will have heard it all before. It's a funny film that older teen boys will enjoy. True, the (adult) characters are not good role models, but it's so absurd, teens aren't likely to be too influenced.

hilarious
I'm only 12 and i think this movie is the funniest movie in the world!!!!!! it's not that bad only for very strong language and alcohol. well and i guess in the credits there's nudity. its not a severely bad movie, i just don't think that 12 year olds and under should watch this. especially if you don't understand the jokes because you don't want to be going around saying stuff that might be very offensive.

Needs to get zero stars
How can anyone with common sense or TASTE call this film "hilarious"? It may be the worst movie I have seen in 40 years! My partner hated it,too. We didn't hear any more than a couple of weak chuckles from the rest of the audience. Zero stars - A waste of time for anyone with a brain.

Very, very funny movie for ADULTS... Yes there is nudity (including frontal nudity). The movie contains bad language, lots of drinking, drugs, violence (hand to hand fighting), and many inappropriate moments. But, for adults, the movie is hilarious.

Walked out
Three parties walked out of this movie. My husband and I stuck it out but felt we were watching a very low-budget - play it to a dumb or dumber audience.

The Funniest Movie of 2009
This movie is a new modern classic comedy! It is for older teens and adults though. Things to look out for: There is some comic violence, the worst being a photo of a character ripping out his own tooth. This is very bloody and actually real because the actor has admitted to doing this on set. Sex, there is some strong sexual dialogue sprinkled throughout the movie with comic rear nudity. Twice in the movie we see a character's penis (the first time is very brief and non-sexual and the second time is when he recieves oral sex on screen from an older woman). Also, in a hilarious scene, the main characters are jumped by a fully naked Asian man. A woman exposes her breast to breastfeed a baby. The end credits contain numerous photos of the characters performing sex acts including a graphic on screen oral sex in which an errected penis is shown. Language, horrendous. Throughout the movie characters say the "F" word as well as various strong and mild cuss words. Sexual dialogue is spoken in graphic terms. It is referenced more than once that a man's long-term girlfriend cheated on him. Product placement comes in with the entire movie taking place in Los Angles. Drug content is characters drink excessively and they are roofied. The positives are that the friends stick together throughout the movie. The overrall theme is friendship and brotherhood. All said and done, this is a laugh riot. 5/5 stars. Ages 16+ only. Enjoy.

Funny, yes. Sidesplitting, even. But appropriate for anyone other than an adult who knows better?? Um, no. Sad that folks believe these rated x scenes are ok for teens to see. .

Funny for adults ONLY!!!
This movie is STRICTLY for adults! I was shocked by the graphic nature of some of the scenes and observed one man get up and leave the theater during one very offensive scene. There are photos at the end of the movie that woudl garner an X-rating...I was shocked they were allowed in an R! I felt like a needed a cleansing from all the filth in this movie after I left. Funny for adults ONLY!!!

There is absolutely nothing any kid should imitate in this film, but for adults, the film is a hilarious, dirty romp. One of the best comedies of the year.

Rated "14-A" in Canada - we're wild, Eh!?
This movie was very funny, but it was mostly audacious humor that is not suitable for any impressionable age. Teens would love it, but don't necessarily have the compass/wisdom to be able to filter 'fictitious escapades' from 'cool for me to emmulate' hijinx. Adults are allowed to guffaw, because we can dismiss it! See me review it with my 65-yr-old Rhodes Scholar dad (we saw it together for Father's Day!) at youtube.com/gabndad

An R rating for a reason. Children under eighteen should not be permitted to see.
I thought this movies was very funny, and great for adults ONLY. There was a large amount of nudity, drinking, and plenty of references toward sex. Definitely not an appropriate movie for children under 18.

The Hangover---Comedy FTW
"The Hangover" (2009) is directed by Todd Phillips, and co-written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It is a absolutely hilarious tale of the misadventures of four men who, in effort to give their friend one of the best bachelor's parties a man can have, end up making a few detours along the way. It leads them through a day of trying to remember all the details of the previous night, this broken memory being where the movie derives most its humor from. The movie is rated R for pervasive language, sexual content including nudity, and some drug material, though the language is not quite so bad as some would believe; yes, there is constant swearing throughout, but given the mens' situations, I think we can all give them a little lee-way (especially at one point where their memory--or what's left of it---is a matter of life and death). The sexual content is very mild throughout the actual film (an innuendo with a tiger and an exposed breast in one scene, basically mild stuff); however, the credits and their photo reel depict some less appropriate material. And the drug material? It's a movie, get over it. Learn the difference between the real world and the cinematic world. If you want to see an absolutely hilarious film, with a very good moral mind you, then you will delight as you watch "The Hangover"; I say this film is good for viewers thirteen and up (just don't bring any very young children).

Not for anyone under 20!
Even though the movie was pretty funny it doesn't make sense... if the characters took the "date rape drug" as told to them by the Dr then how on earth did they manage to take plenty of raunchy photos through the night? Doesn't make sense! The directors have no morals or values! Please don't allow your kids to see this trash, esp the credits.

Great for adults, not for teens.
This is an incredibly funny movie. I laughed thru the whole movie as did my husband and most people in the theater. There is a reason it is rated R and it deserves every bit of the rating. However, it is not a kid or teen flick. Thankfully the stars are not teenagers, so I think most kids won't want to see it.

Simply not for kids.
Characters are beaten by a naked man with a crowbar. A stolen police car, drug use, profanity. In general an awesome comedy, but not for the kids.

There really isn't that many parts that aren't bad, but I am a very mature person, who can handle this type of movie. This movie is sooooo hilarious, bad but the best, i love it! definitely my favorite! Despite the crude things in it, it is a must see for anyone over 15!

Great For Me, Not Sure About You
EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS MOVIE. And I like it. My grandma took me to see it, and I don't exactly think it's right for OTHERS in my age group. I'm much more mature than I should be at my age, so it was alright for me, but for others I don't know. It's completely uncensored. I'll give you that.

I thought this movie looked pretty good from the trailer and when i actually saw the movie i was surprised to find that it was actually better than thought it would be. It was Soooo funny. It also isn't that inapropriate. Theres language and nudity yes but whatever. The credits have to be the funniest part of the whole movie.

Funniest movie ever. But not for the faint-hearted
This is definnanetly an R rating. And rightfully so, lots of talk of graphic sex and drinking, also be noted (at least in the movies) on the credits there are some REALLY graphic pictures. But man this is the best comedy of the year so far. It's hilarious. Anyone that will get any of the jokes is old enough to watch it. Wether you think so or not your kid knows more than you think.

Know you're kids. Okay for kids 15 and up as long as they aren't impressionable.
Extremely hilarious. I saw it with my parents and it wasn't too awkward, content wise. However, it has it's moments of extreme vulgarity and gross-out humor. Most of it can be seen by kids 15 and up. Impressionable kids may get the wrong idea, but for most it's a silly comedy.

I am only 10 and my mum took me to this thinking it would be a 2009 version of Bachleor Party, with a few innuendos and nothing too bad, but the Hangover is really more than that. Although being hillarious, the film has about 100 f-bombs, 90 s-words and over 150 over uses of profanity, some comedic, but at times a little harsh violence, frequent, strong sexual references, no scenes, but some nudity and over 200 references, strong alcohol use and some drug references (with some drug use in the credits). The credits are the strongest content, I luckily left to go to the toilet and my mum was happy that I left. It's dreadful, vulgar, but utterly hillarious. Teens will laugh at the frequent jokes and younger viewers will not understand some things, but if you are going with a kid, ask afterwards 'OK, got any questions?"

Great for older teens, an actually funny movie
While The Hangover looks like just another dumb adult comedy, this one proved to be that a little bit more. Although the movie does revolve around alcohol abuse, it also shows the consequences of it, which is at least slightly appropriate for younger teens. Language is explicit and the sexuality level is high, but it still results in one of the best comedies I've ever seen. Two thumbs up - worth seeing! (:

The Hangover will leave you laughing through the whole thing.
The Hangover is another very funny comedy from director Todd Phillips and it's probably his best. The movie deals with a lot of drinking and sexual matter. If you seen apatow stuff this is the same content wise. and you should see it.
