This is a very cute movie! I have seen this movie more that 10 times!! This movie is very funny and it has great songs.My little sisters loves to dance to the songs. I think this movie is good for all ages.

Perfect cute, up-beat kid movie!
Happy Feet is a cute movie for kids 4 and up! There is one scene when a leopard seal attacks which may scare young kids, but most 5 or 6 year olds can handle it. The little penguins are so cute and during the movie you will want to move your feet! If you watch it on DVD with the family, you will be up and dancing in no time!

The countless references to "mating" are very inappropriate for children.

This movie sucks
I hate this movie, it was nothing but penguins wanting to "do it" the soings were boring and the taps on the step dancing didnt even match properly, stupid movie! and the main penguin always had this baby panguin scruff on him to make him seem like a teen penguin i guess, was sooo stupid, i hate this movie!

too much on mating
I thought it focused too much on mating and not enough on the story. A few scenes were a little scary for younger kids but unless they are super sensitive they'll be ok

I didn't like how all the penguins that could sing thought they were sooooo hot, even Mumble's mom! :-P

Cute animal movie for kids
This is a good movie for kids. However, it wasn't a paticular favorite of mine. It was OK. There is some mild violence in it as well as some flirting, but that's about it.

A very happy movie, but it can be perilous
Mumble dances a lot and Ms. Viola teaches him a singing lesson. He made his friends mad and said that it was not funny. Mumble was a great role model beccause he made some great dancing moves and that can be educational in DDR. There was a violent scene when a leopard was trying to bite him which was perilous. My nanny loves this movie because it was mostly interesting with good things.

this movie is a must see for the whole family! even during the holidays.
this animated movie i highly recommend to kids ages 6-12. i love this penguin movie. but some scenes that may scare younger kids. and the penguins flirt with each other. but a must see for the whole family.

God,some parents are just too sensitive.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the movie.A parent who walked out because his/her son became terrified because a crow was chasing a cute little penguin and cornered him so for to eat it?I know you have to be protective to your little kids but it also help them overcome their fears when they grow up.

Pure disappointment
I was hoping to see a cute movie about penguins instead I got a movie way to much involved with mating and sad creepy parts Common sense media why 4 stars?! Why did so many people like this movie? Inappropriate stuff is hinted at throughout the whole movie. Do NOT watch.

Nutshell day
The movie begins with a dancing penguin egg, he breaks out, goes to school, dances, gets chased by albotrosses, grows up, runs away, goes to South America, ventures in abandoned town, gets put in zoo, has pshychotic epsiode, goes home, and dances again. THE END
