Not quite 12/PG-13 territory, could’ve been a hard PG

- Violence is frequent, mostly towards the end. Violent acts take place both on and off screen, and get as bad as stabbing and strangling. - Blood is shown but is minimal - Murder is discussed, but not in the most disturbing way - Teenagers kiss once - The images of Dementors, Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort are somewhat frightening

Depressing adaptation has teenage angst and mild violence.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is a 2007 fantasy movie directed by David Yates and starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Imelda Staunton, Evanna Lynch, and Ralph Fiennes. Language: None. Sex(1/5): One very intense kiss, teenage romance and angst. Drinking, Drugs, And Smoking: None. Violence(3/5): Some fantasy fighting and scary elements. Lots of arguments and yelling. Some beloved characters die. Some abuse. Positive Messages(2/5): Messages about controlling your anger and courage/teamwork. Positive Role Models And Representations(2/5): Harry is a poorer role model in this one, and not many characters are redeemable. Quality(opinionated): Depressing and really poor adaptation, acting, and writing. (My rating) PG For some sequences of fantasy violence.

Tanking Harry Potter

This was yet another dark movie that wasn't that interesting. It was just a neat freak teacher who comes to Hogwarts to reinstate order among the students. It's basically when the war between the wizards starts so it's trying to move as fast as it can, but all of a sudden Voldemort and his minions pop out of nowhere. It was too random. And now that I've read the book, the book and the movie are the least favorite to me in the series. It was just boring and uninteresting. I wouldn't suggest seeing this movie at all, in fact, STAY AWAY FROM IT.
