Best thing i've ever seen... GENIUS! A fine work of art. Any child 2 and up would love this movie as much as me and my kids did! I'm definately buying this one!! Two thumbs up! =0)
I am a ten year old girl. I'm in fifth grade.... so I like to consider myself an eleven year old. Anyways, The Haunting In Connecticut is my favorite movie:] I don't understand how it's too gory for kids under the age of 14. That's stupid. I love horror movies.....which is why I love this movie:] it's not gory at all. The dead bodies only have writing on their bodies with their eyelids cut off:] the only parts when there is actually blood is when they show the dead boy as he looked when he died. So, I give this movie a 5/5.
The Haunting in Connecticut is a disturbing movie only for your older teens and parents the only thing you need to worry about in this movie is the intense violence and characters drink hard liquor.
This movie was sometimes gross but unfortunately, it was not all that frightening. The story upon which it is based is much scarier - the film could have been terrifying if it had hewed closer to the truth. I fail to understand why the father was suddenly made into an alcoholic, other than to add drama. Also, I was a little bothered by the fact that the movie brought up necromancy but failed to truly explain how horribly, horribly bad necromancy is. There are several jump-out at you kind of scares, but they are so frequent that they lose their power (eventually I found myself playing "Where's Waldo?" with the "creepy" ghosts).
"Keep you on the edge of your seat"?! This movie was so far beyond god-awful, by the time the neck ties started swimming outta' that guys mouth, I'd already nodded off ... Virginia Madsen"s reactions to both her sons agony from his chemo and the "ghostly" shenanigans going on around her looks more like she's trying to remember the name of her high school gym coach. This movie was about as scary as watching miso soup coagulate ....
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I thought it would turn out boring (like most PG-13 horrors), but it was actually pretty darn good! Lots of scares in this one. The fact that it was based on a true story makes it even scarier, however, how true the details in this movie are, who knows! Good acting, awesome effects. Definitely NOT for children! 4/5
This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. Alot of gore and graphic scenes.I think 13 is age appropiate. I would watch this movie again and recommend it.
