This was your average slapstick comedy and action PG movie. Almost a complete copy of "Home Alone" - other than the setting, but the plot, characters, and comedy are THE SAME as the first movie.

We skipped through the first Home Alone because of the profanity, and after reading several reviews (including Commonsense's review), I was under the impression that this movie had no foul language. NOT so! There's a very clear da**it and Kevin, the main character, calls the bad guys an a$$ at least two times. We sat down with our 5 & 7 year old thinking we were going to have a good, clean, fun movie night. What a disappointment. No matter how much we enjoyed Kevin's antics, we won't be watching this again.

my six year old daughter walked out in the middle - too scary. my almost 7 1/2 year old son had a lot of questions (ie: how could they forget their son, what is kerosene?) and i am hoping he didn't retain any bad ideas. i think it is very funny but not sure i should have let my kids watch it. i had watched it years ago and didn';t remember it the way i see it now that i am a parent.

This movie was a little more funny than the first movie but the traps at the end were less funny than the traps in the first movie.

I'm offended, and that isn't like me. It is not the violence, it is the cruelty and the torture. I think that teaching our children to laugh at people getting nail guns fired at them is sickening. I turned it off in the middle and I'm still upset.

I love this movie also, but again Harry mumbles some words that are hard to make out, but you understand what he said later. Many uses of the credit card, but not a lot of consumerism.

Ive been watching this movie since i was 3!! that dont mean i didnt swear at a young age!!

this movie is more kid friendly than the first. it has a good message of generosity. the traps are funnier too.

* Violence- Pause- Slapstick Violence, Mischief, peril, and in 1 scene, Kevin watches a movie and it had a man killing a lady by a gun.* Sexy Stuff- On- Some flirting. * Language- On- Some language and some name calling. * Drinking, Drugs, Or Smoking- On- None. * The good stuff- * Educational Value- 2 out of 5- Kids will learn how to make booby traps and kids will also learn all about New York City. * Positive Messages- 0 out of 5- None. * Positive Role Models- 0 out of 5- None. This movie is really good!!
