i went to see this with my little sisters, and i thought it was funny. the part with the playboy mansion just flew over the youngest ones head, and the middle one knew not to say anything.
It isn't funny for the age group intended. Most of the jokes are only ones older kids will understand. I saw it and thought it was very funny while my 6 year old brother didn't. Good messages about acceptance and following your dreams.
This movie is pathetic! The characters in the movie are absolute idiots! Plus, there are too many insults in the film! That is a perfect example of the crappy characters in the movie! The film just goes nowhere, and it is really boring. This is the third worst movie ever, the 1st is African Cats, the 2nd is Rango!
Hop was such a HORRIBLE movie! It "sucked easter eggs"! I swear,it was THAT bad! It's nowhere as awful as that other trashy movie "African Cats",but it's STILL awful! The animation is choppy, and it was SO BORING! The live-action segments were terrible too!
Ok this is one of my favorite movies. It's meant to be funny. A few inappropriate references, a few violent scenes, and a chicken that turns into a bunny. I saw this movie when I was 12 and it was very funny. Best for older kids. However, my 5 year old sister saw the movie and didn't bring up any of the inappropriate scenes. Best for kids who can understand the humor in the movie. "I Want Candy" is an inappropriate song but they change it around a bit for the movie.
I was hoping that Hop would be a feel-good family movie about a rabbit finding his place in the world. Boy was I wrong. Hop was absolutly horrible and best suited for no one. It was too silly for older kids and adults but to suggestive for younger kids and toddlers. The Playboy Mansion is shown more than once, E.B. says he's a "S-xy bunny", Russel Brand plays the main role (Not directly a innuendo, but everyone knows the movies he usally stars in), and other incidents. Violence, although not bloody, shows the main characters tied up in the Easter world presumably about to be killed or harmed in some sort of way, and a scene that would be scary to small children includes the *SPOILER ALLERT* villian being turned into a chicken/rabbit. Save your money and don't rent/ buy this horrible excuse for a "family" film.
This is one of the worst movies EVER.It's down there with African Cats,Epic Movie, and Rango. The voice acting is terrible and the scripts are just bleh.
Horrible for kids over the age of 7. Good for little ones!
This was a horrible movie! My 5yr old brother chose this movie and he liked it, but the rest of the family didn't. It was not funny at all and it was just really weird. I say weird because of how the bunnies talk to humans and the humans act like they are friends. Pretty immature movie, but great movie for kids who find almost anything funny.
I personally think this movie is appropiate for little children, my 2 year old loved it! She laughed throughout the whole movie and it was a great Easter movie!
What too look out for: When E.B. was looking for a new home he went to the playboy mantion too see if they would let him in, I don't think that's something my parents would aprove of for my younger siblings, other than that- it was a pretty good movie! Might even watch it again.
I found that HOP is an excellent movie and should be seen by all families when possible. The Easter Bunny is very cute and is an incredibly strong character and the Chicks are slightly evil but, in a whole it shows you that if you are seen as something bad you can still do amazing things.
