a sweet and enchanting movie for preteen girls.
The story of Ice Princess is a story based on a girl who wants to achieve her dream of becoming an ice skater with out disappointing her own mother, in which though out the drama must she make a choice that could her life's course: Harvard and a mothers pride or Ice Skating and fame? The movie of Ice Princess teaches many girls on how important it is to follow your dreams and to make your own choices and it teaches mothers and fathers to not project their dreams on their daughters and sons in which I believe is important to learn. A great movie, sweet and enchanting for preteen girls like me.

This movie is very good. It is a wonderful story about a girl who dreams of being an ice skatter. But her mom wants her to go to harvard. So the girl does everything she can to follow her own dream and not someone elses. Although there is some mild iffy stuff like some use of the word "stupid" or "you look hot!" and some kissing between teens. Also for vilonce there is about a 3 second shot of a very painful looking injury. Besides these very little things it's OK!

An Average Movie
Its a pretty good movie, kinda average.The lead actress Michelle acts really badly in it, but Hayden Pattenerie acts phenomenally well along with Joan Cusack!!

Cute and inspiring, but very unrealistic
Overall, "Ice Princess" was a good movie. There were many positive messages and scenes; for example, when Casey persevered through all those figure skating obstacles and overcame them all. However, some parts were completely unrealistic; for example, Casey was barely able to perform a decent toe-loop jump, but then suddenly, she "accidentally" landed a double toe-loop. I have been figure skating for about 8 1/2 years and am currently working on my double jumps; believe me, that is impossible. I'm sure even Kim Yu-Na or Michelle Kwan could not have done that.

i love this movie, & i saw it when i was about 10. Casey is a really good role model- smart, pretty, and hard-working. it shows that you can live your life the way YOU want to, and no one should stop that.

Okay movie lacks positive messages and replaces it with too much violence.
When I was littler(5-6 years) I still watched grown up movies but none with violence. I truly, 6 years later, cannot believe there is that wound, but don't get me wrong, it's a good comedy.

a fun movie for kids 7and older.
Ice Princess is about a girl named Kasey. The only thing she wants to do is skate. The time is coming for college and sinse her family does not have enough money for Harvard her mom is presuring her to get a physics scholership. Her mother does not approve of Figure skating and forbids Kasey to skate. Kasey has to sneek off and lie to her mom. In the end she has to pick skating or school. I think this movie is a good movie for kids 8 and up.

1 of the worst Disney movies ever (and there are quite a few)
'Hey, Mom, I don't care about "YOUR" dream or the fact that I have a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to Harvard, because I'm gonna go skate for 6 years, then become a wash-up with no money and regret my stupid decision for the rest of my life!' Is that a great message or what? My 9 year old sister saw this and after it was over, asked my mother, "Can I go get iceskates?" Ummm...no? The probablity of skating on a pond for 2 months every winter for 10 years and then somehow becoming a world-famous skater after less than 6 months of training is so ridiculous, Disney should have fired these writers after one read-through of the storyboard! Now girls everywhere are being pelted with the message, "Give up your incredible intelligence and skate around in frilly leotards! It's really fun, and your mother is wrong when she tells you not to; but don't worry, she'll come around!" I'm glad I watched this movie; it gives me more to critisize when I'm bored.
