fun for preteens and up
love danger and advencher this will blow your mind away not my fav but it is a mix of nashanol tresher and pirets of the carebbean and a pinch of star wars but a cup of fun but deservs a PG-13 but grat movie but not famly fun

great but too violent
This is a very violent and bloody movie with nonstop violence some language. And excessive drinking. There is a very graphic gunshot scene where blood goes all over the place. Gret but not for younglings.

perfect for teens not for kids
Wayyyyyy too much violence... a scene has it where indiana and marion are in bed...Indiana fighting Nazis....Make little boy costumes, which i think tells little boys to watch it... but i liked it

Great starter to an action seires
Out of all the Indiana Jones movies this is my favorite. I also think that it had the 3 creepiest deaths in the entire seiries. 1)Face melting 2) Implosion 3) Explosion. All caused by looking when the ark was opened, freaky!

lots of bloody violence
it was okay. The plot sounded cool but it was different than I expected. It was a little gorier than I expected. I think there was also too much violence for a PG (this is before they had the PG-13 rating but if they did I'd rate it that). Violence: like I said earlier, several bloody violence. Killing isn't rare here (though the scene when Indy killed the swordsman was funny). SPOILER ALERT during the scene when the bad guys open up the Ark, there faces melted which I'm sure will freak young kids out; it was more gross for me. Also there was a long kissing scene that we just skiped. In one scene Marion is seen dressing but you only see her back. Language: all I heard was hell, and it wasn't that costant. I wanted to see the movie after playing the lego game but I like the game better. Overall it was an okay movie; personally Star Wars was better

great movie with intense scary images and violence.
My MPAA rating: PG for some violence, very scary images
kissing and brief nudity.
the violence is intense e.g. punching,gunshots,swords,violence.There is kissing and one part a women changes off screen.Lots of frightening scenes,espacially the end

Awesome non-stop adventure!
This movie is a classic. A great non-stop adventure by Steven Speilberg, filled with thrills, action, and everything. There isn't too much violence, just a little blood, a lot of hand-to-hand combat, and guns, and there's only one little referance. It's a great movie, I say. All action/adventure fans should see this! It's great!

A GREAT movie!
Indiana Jones and the Raiders Of The Lost Arc is one of the best movies ever made! I am 10 years old and I was fine with it, all though some parts scared me, like in the end with the melting/blowing up people. Indiana is a great role model, but still, you wouldn't want your kids imitating him. Also, in the beginning of the movie, Marion has a drinking contest and drinks 5 or 6 cups of alcohol. Over all, this movie is funny and thrilling: the perfect Hollywood Blockbuster.

Suitable for a Tween (At the Most)
Although a cinema gem, it's just too violent for anyone under 7. Every other bad element packed into the movie (like language, sexual scenes and drinking), was little enough to be suitable for (at the most) a tween.

Indiana Jones, one of the best movies ever made. Violence, well, this is an adventure movie, so there is gonna be violence. The face melting scene wasn't reallly that scary for me but could be for younger kids.
