this movie has more bad language than commonsense said it had including h..l,d..n,s..t and b.....d. The violence is people getting burned, hung, people getting their heart taken out and people getting eaten by alligators. There is also a scene where people are eating monkey brains snakes and many other gruesome things.
This is probably the most violent one out of the whole series. Near the start a big kabab is thrown into a mans chest, a little bit later a mans heart is pulled out(but looks fake) and then at the end people fall into a river and are eaten by crocidiles. Drug use: at the start some people are drinking wine and stuuf
I love this movie. It is my favorite Indiana Jones movie. I watched this when I was 9, and the only part that disturbed me was the monkey brain delicacy. Mild romance between Willy and Indy, plenty of violence and not that bad language. Indy and Short Round are good role models - brave, adventurous, and loyal.
I honestly watched all the indiana jones movies when I was six so im not the best person for this one but it has more violence then any other one but okay
This movie is a lot more gory than raiders and crusade and the scenes of torturing the children made me wince when I was little. So wait until they are 13.
I watched part of this movie when I was 8 but we skipped alot I watched the whole thing when I turned 9 and did not notice the language but Preteens can maybe handle it unless there sensitive there is some sex but I didn't notice that until later either there is bad language like b$s&:$d and s$&t some profanity on for 12 and up though definitely violent very violent kids are slaves and people are crushed hearts taken out and stuff that makes u want to spit take a drink of water and lay down
Violence (NC-17): Very scary, very gorey, and worse than any Jones movie with the death.
Sexual Content (PG): Sexual tensions between Indy and Willie, and Mola Ram reaches for Willie's boob.
Language (PG): Surprising not as much as Raiders.
There's a bit more sexual stuff in this one. I don't know why everyone says that Temple of Doom is worse in violence than Raiders. The most was a heart being pulled out of someone's chest - which IS disturbing, but in Raiders, there was a man shot in the face, a man shredded by a perpeller, etc. It isn't more bad than the first Indy adventure! They're maybe equal.
i think this movie was quite creepy. The first thing that grossed me out was the food at panka palace(eyeball soup, chilled monkey brains etc.)Mild fight scenes including mola ram falling into a river of alligators. possession of a character. voodo. overall PG-13 definately.
Not as good as the first one. Too dark, scary, and gory.
My rating: PG-13 for sequences of adventure violence and frightening images.
[NOTE: This was the one and only film that created the PG-13 rating in 1984.]
This movie had the 5th creepiest death in the seires. Heart Ripped-out of chest. This is my second favorite of the seires. This movie is one of the movies that helped create PG-13! It was probably the gore (although at a low level).
The action is more intense, a briefly disturbing scene of a man's heart being ripped out and then the man, still alive, is lowered into a lava pit. We see him on fire. Child slavery.
