Now it's Jaden Smith with Karate Kid, soon it'll be Willow Smith with Annie. Although, hopefully Annie won't be as dull as this movie was. I had to keep myself from falling asleep. If you want to see Karate Kid, check out the old one. Anything but this will do you good.
the kid cusses. spongebob is on when he is trying to go to bed. kids try to break each other's bones. the coach tells a kid to break dre's leg. Dre and the Chinese girl kiss. lots of fights.
The new Karate Kid was not as good as the old one but it did have very good messages portrayed in it for the audience. I especially liked how Jaden had to but the jacket on the coat hanger and take it offf and do this repeatdely, it built his strength. It is just like Wax on, wax off.
Wow uh the one under me isn't really rating this in a fair way. Yes, there is alcohol, some cursing, some product placement, kissing and flirting, and a lot of violence, but they teach you that no matter what, you can do anything. When you fall, just get back up. Besides, this movie can't be that bad because they showed it at my school and I'm in 5th grade.
It was a grate movie. I recomend it for anyone who likes action and comedy. All parents should recomend it to their children, cusins, ext. I love the movie so much, and you should to!
its not very bad at all. they say 3 bad words in the whole movie, but it still has violence like people beating eachother up and broken bones. otherwise, it's appropriate for all ages.
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! When I first saw a trailer I leaned over to my sister and said "Owwh God its Karate Kid 878", I had no intent to see it but none the less my Mom dragged me to the movie with her and I thought i was in for 2 hours and 30 minutes of the same thing as Karate Kid 1, boy was I wrong...This movie was so much better than the orginal. Jackie Chan is a great teacher and character in this movie and Jaden Smith is shapping up to be just like his dad. I woud love to see another Karate Kid featuring this team. I would definitly recomend this movie.
better than How to train your dragon (9+), but it is more than Child's Play (1988) should be 13+, but not younger ones it is too weird, mom sees one since 13, this is 1991-2010, it is violence, don't worry about other ones.
1988-1999 Child's Play is less than The Karate Kid.

I thought this movie was amazing! I like this one better than the 80's one. It was a little more violent than I thought it would be, but it's not as bad as people say. In one funny scene two kids have a little kiss. Thats as sexual as it gets. Dre says "ass" about three times. Thats all the bad language. In one scene Mr. Han gets drunk and breaks his car. You must see this movie!
Great remake with lots of good messages and role models. Violence is virtually bloodless but may be too intense for some kids as there are several slow-mo shots of punches and kicks finding there mark.
It's alright. But honestly, it's called 'KARATE KID', but he learns Kung-Fu. What is up with that? Anywho, the plot is good. Dre shows determination, though, in the begging he wants to learn it for revenge against the kid who is bullying him but his message during the final encounter with his enemy in the finals shows what all kids should understand: Don't give up and never back down.
