I used to love this when i was little! but the t rex did used to scar me. And wow! SUPER MOVIE REVIEWER!i can't believe someone actually knows and wants to mention Judith Barsi!!! Judith Barsi was a cute little girl! Shame on her father! Judith deserved to live!! and so did her mother! And Judith Barsi played my favorite character in this movie: little ducky. I can't belive she's gone! SOB! R.I.P Judith Barsi our ten year old little, concreate angel.
i loved this when i was little very good. If u look at the top you will see starring Judith Barsi. Judith Barsi did a very good job acting in this movie but sadly there will never be another movie with her in it. On july 25th 1988 10 year old Judith barsi and her mother where shot in the head by josez Barsi. (Jusith's father and Marria barsi's husband. )Judith was born in 1978 and died when she was just 10 years old after being abused by her father for a long time. Other movies starring Judith Barsi is Jaws 4 the revenge, eye of the tigger, the land before time, and all dogs go to heaven. She also appeared in many camercials in the 1980's. This sweat little inisent girl will be missed by all.
The Land Before Time is a sweet family movie that is fun for all ages, but it also is one of the saddest kids movies of all time. Like in the Disney Classic Bambi Littlefoot loses his mother, and doesn't seem to understand what happened.
I am not kidding. During the Sharptooth vs Mother Dino fight, when Sharptooth goes on her back, you can literally SEE blood coming out of her! OH MY GOD!!! Off for kids 3 and under because 4 years olds can probably handle it.
If anything, this movie stands out as one of the most memorable of all my childhood memories. Basically, a "long neck's" mother is killed by a "sharp tooth". Suddenly, he's lost, but soon meets up with four friends (Ducky the swimmer, Cera the three-horn, Petrie the flyer, and Spike the silent). Considering the sad beginning, I still think this was a happy, heart-warming tale, as are all the other Land Before Time installments. However, I think it's bet to say that this stands out from all the others.
I'm 11 and I love this show I have VCR tapes of it in my room but I don't think its good for the mother to die it just kills the movie, on the other hand after the sadness its a great film.
This is my favorite animated film ever, and my second favorite film altogether, after The Blair Witch Project. Don Bluth has the best animation skill of all time, and this may fare even better than The Secret of NIMH. But parents need to know that it has lots of mature emotional content that may go over kids' heads and possibly move them to tears, and the images are scary as well. I am still scratching my head at why the bloody heck this wasn't rated PG. In terms of kid's-movies-turned-scary, I would compare this to Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin, which, in my opinion, is the only genuinely scary Disney film (it still scares ME). The Land Before Time certainly doesn't scare ME anymore, but any kid 6 and under who sees this and isn't even the slightest bit affected literally has no soul. A fantastic film, but take heed with your kid.
