For the information, this is REALLY a PG not a PG-13. The DVD Cover has PG on it.
Language (10+) - Ass, crap and the like.
Sexual content (12+) - A little more sexual content than PGs are normally meant to be.
Drugs, smoking, drinking (10+) - Man smoking, girls get drunk. (Really, who cares about the drinking and the smoking?!)
THANKS FOR READING PARENTS,
OVERALL AGE FOR THIS MOVIE WOULD BE 10+.
5 STARS, THIS IS A MUST SEE!
Love it but it has a few rude words and they drink a lot. They also talk about sex. In the lyrics. " make me want to see when you do your thing!!!!" The sound track is fun and llively for little kids.
iffy for 10-12 year olds but worth seeeing if you don't mind a few sex comments
Okay so Mama mia is a VERY good family movie if you don't mind your kids hearing some sex comments and the word a*s
But i don't think they will catch on. Im 12 and we saw the musical when i was 9. It was better than the movie. But if you don't think your kids should watch it especially younger than 10 then you should watch it. It is worth seeing. My favorite movie of all time! I love abba!
Modern musical is not original, but fun to watch. Nothing inappropriate.
"Mamma Mia!" is no masterpiece of work, but is fun.
The songs from ABBA are all-time-favourites, even though not all actors and actresses can sing.
It is not boring and really entertains.
The songs have a mild innuendo and some language such as "ass" or "crap" used, but this movie is that harmless it could have been rated PG.
i loved it!!!the characters were funny and they were going through problems that added an element of surprise.i also loved the setting of the island, it was sooooo beautiful!!!!
I love this movie! The music is so fun to listen to and dance with. The movies story is entertaining and all the characters are great! The parts that are a little iffy are how they dont know which of the three men is Sophie's father and the other little sexual references along the movie. It's not a movie for younger kids but it's so good and a very fun movie!!!
Classic broadway production brought to the big screen, who could ask for more???
Mamma Mia is a movie based on a popular broadway production, which is based on music by a popular band named Abba. It is about Seyfred's character- Sophie- about going to get married but is trying to figure out eho her dad is at the same time. Their is sexual innuendo- eg. how the mom had sex with 3 men and Sophie is trying to figure out which one of them is her father, the line dot, dot, dot which is meaning s.e.x. Also an entire mans butt is shown but not in a nonplatonic way. Just funny. No language, no violence, not much consumerism except that it is promoting Abbas songs. And an island in Greece. Sophie is very persueing in finding her father throughout the whole movie. So no one under 10. But your family will have a blast waatching this movie and singing alon to the evermost popular songs. Have Fun!!!
Good musical. Younger audiences wont understand the sexual messages that are sent. So in that sense, it is OK (appropriate)! A LOT of singing. So if you want to here Meryl Streep sing, go for it :) :) :)!
