I loved this movie!
Ok well... I'm 15 and Im a HUGE Kristen Stewart (twilighter here :P ) fan. I like horror movies but alot of the time i end up getting scared out of my wits LOL... I loved this movie, I havent seen many horror movies (maybe about 5) But this one was good. Not TOO violent, No sex (the parents just joke about it in one part) A few bad words, but i dont use bad words anyway, They do mention that Jess had a car accident because she had been drinking though, but obviously she feels bad for it. I dont like how her parents didnt want to trust her. And then when she tried to tell them about the ghosts they didnt believe her! I was like Wow... One thing i liked is FINALLY theres a happy ending to a horror movie i've seen. all the others ive seen have semi or not happy endings at all. so personally i love it! :D

Excellent movie, but not for younger kids.
I loved this movie. The movie is a horror movie, but like I tell my family, you don't see any heads being chopped off. There are some jump scenes. Some violence that might scare some younger kids. I would recommend this movie to kids thirteen, maybe fourteen and older.

Nothing New is Correct
The Messengers is a good movie. I wouldn't call it a SCARY or HORROR movie, i would call it suspensful. I find it to be well made. The only thing is, that this movie is nothing new, it's the same movie, Haunted House. Good movie.

Scared my socks off!
I saw this movie when I was 11 and it scared my socks off! The only thing that scares me in movies are suspense and showing really creepy dead people. My favorite scene is when that farmer guy is farming and all the crows are around him. That seen made me laugh.

Predictable- not very scary...
me (i'm 13) and my 8 year old brother watched this movie together... it was pretty disappointing- not scary at all.. my little brother jumped once. and then we both cracked up.

a fun thriller with a unique ending
I liked the whole haunted house thing, though it wasn;t to scary- the brutal murder at the beginning of the movie (like, first scene), was nothing worth writing home about- it was vilolent and unsatisfying, but the ending made up for it. The ghosts, whom you are certain are trying to drag Jess into the pits of you-know-where, are actually trying to accomplish something much different that leads to a twist to the ending. I personally thought this movie was entertaining and much more appropriate then others in its genre.

good for older kids
one of my fave horror movie! i didnt kind it scarey like bloody. gorey scary but they more so usee the element of suprise! may scare younger kids. i had my 4 an 5 year old cousins watch an the 4 year old girl wasnt scared at all, she was laughing. but the 5 year old boy was scared out of his mind!

Nothing new
This film is scary and builds up some good tension moments. The plot is nicely laid out and well told. You are sure going to have a scary and fun time, but this movie is nothing new. The plot is not very original and we have seen movies like this through the years (movies about haunted houses etc). The acting is nothing special, but not bad either.

VERY entertaining but the same old horror story. nothing original but i would defiantly watch it again. very good for people who like pointless movies. some parts are horrifying but still an amazing movie for me. love love love it NOT FOR YOUNGER KIDS it will horrify them

Brilliant film, and i think it suits teens like myself
I love this film, i watched it just the other night. I am a big fan of horror movies though, so it may not suit everyone. It is quite creepy in places, some parts made my stomach flip because you're not expecting it. But over all i think it is a great film and i would definatly watch it again!

PERFECTO!
I LOVED THIS MOVIE! It wasn't gross, discustiong looking creatures or whatever, cuz that's always what i hate about horror movies. I LOVE HORROR MOVIES, i just hate gross, gross things, like blood is ok, but scary/diturbing/discusting/ looking things are what i hate, but this movie didn't have anything. I LOVED IT, but if you're looking for a better horror movie then this one that is also not gross, try the unborn, i loved that one! I CRACKED UP DURING HALF OF THE "SCARY" PARTS! HA, SEE THAT ONE!!!

Really good not scary at all
You have to be plain stupid to not let kids watch this movie. Me and my 7 year old sister watched it and we didn't even jump. I'am 10 years old and i'm a chicken but i laught during this movie. The only creeper part is when the mother comes out of the wall. But I laught my head off when the little boy climbed up the wall it was so fake!
