A timeless masterpiece for people 8 to 80
This is the best movie ever. I love it but it may frighten younger viewers. There's a lot of scary stuff, from some of the characters, a dark atmosphere (at some points), corpses and blood. Some of the statues are topless that parents might not want their children to see. Colourful, imagintive and cheerful is how I describe this movie.

I loved this movie so much!
I really liked the part when Atreyu killed the creature of darkness. I also liked the part when Atreyu jumped through the Sphinxes before he got hit by the lasers. There is a sort of sad part in the movie when Atreyu's horse sinks into the swamp of sadness. I think this movie would be too scary for A three year old child.

It is a fantastic movie but I hink that the huge wolf may be scary for 8- year olds.

Book is better!
The book is much better than the movie. I suggest to FIRST read the book. Atreyu is a great character, so brave. I would really like to be like him. About violence, the scenes with the Gmork are really scary and bloody. My 6 year old sister really got scared and cried a bit. My mother comforted her, though, and soon she was feeling good again. I got very sad when Artax died in the swamp. I lost a dear friend in kindergarten and know how Atreyu felt at that moment.
