The Creative Cohens, at it again!
I am probably the biggest Cohen brothers fan! This is one of my favorite movies of all time!

Perfect.
Beautiful movie. Pretty heavy on the gun violence though.

Another masterpice from the Coen brothers.
No Country for Old Men is a beautifully shot, smart and very tense movie that truly deserves the Oscar for Best Picture. However, this is a very dark movie. There are almost no positive role models, and anytime Anton kills someone, it is always very graphic, including to him strangling another man with handcuffs, killing people at close range with an air gun or shooting people with a silenced shotgun, which leads to very bloody results. There is also a scene where he cleans up a bullet wound and has a bone sticking out of his arm. Not everyone will like this movie, but this is a great movie for mature viewers at least 17 years old.

MEH
Not the Coen brothers I know! If you want a weird thrill watch Fargo or True Grit instead.

Whoa, whoa, whoa ... how did that just end?!
This movie showed a lot of promise until the very end. In the words of one of my favorite movie critics, "It was kind of like they didn't know how to end it, so they sort of just ... didn't." The Oscar for best picture could have gone to a much worthier candidate

Very good western thriller
I think this movie is an instant classic. Kind of a corny ending but great action, great story, great acting. VERY bloody. If you are a kid going to see this movie, one sentence of caution. Anton's low, emotionless, creepy voice will be in your nightmares for a while.

I liked this better than "Juno"
And I didn't see any other 07 nominees, because all except "Juno" were rated R, so I guess I'm sorta glad it won the Best Pic Oscar. I only saw this because I have a life-long goal to see every Best Picture Oscar winner in America. To conclude, this movie was graphically bloody and somewhat symbolic in my opinion.

A true masterpiece!
This is one of the greatest movies to date and is very well done. It is all about a man stumbling upon $2 million dollars, and the chase from Anton Chigurh to Llewelyn Moss over the cash. This movie contains action, suspense, and thrills, thus making it a very flexible movie. This movie does contain infrequent language with 2 f words and bloody violence (nothing a mature teen couldn't handle). This a true masterpiece that mustn't be missed!

Spoiler Alert:
Despite the fact my father hated the ending, I think it was perfect. Who needs happy endings?

So good
Great film. Iffy for some younger teens... no one younger than 13 to watch this... unless parents aren't over protective... :)

Coen brothers thought-provoking oscar winner is great.
What makes the Coen brothers Oscar-winning film so great is that it keeps you thinking of what happened and what will happen. It's rare to see that in pointless movies these days but this is a real treat.

Incredible
This movie could even be disturbing to some adults. It has plenty of violence and is gory. However the thing to watch is the performance by Javier Bardem. He plays the psychopathic murderer so well i left the theatre looking over my shoulder for a man with a funny haircut. If you or your child will not be disturbed by this content, it is an amazing movie. Not only action, it has a look into the very roots of evil and how it effects the world. While many of the characters treat death with a surprisingly cavalier attitude, the movie shows the very reasons behind every character. Its amazing peace

Excellent, thought-provoking, intelligent... did I mention excellent?
Yes, yes, I know the minute you saw my age you thought, "He shouldn't have seen that movie." Dude, lady, sir, person, I like to think of myself as mature in the area of violent films. And I love the Coen brothers. So there. Anyway, back to the review. This is definetly one of the Coen brother's best films, and probably one of the best to ever come out this year. And even though I'm fourteen and saw it, and it's an excellent movie, I think you should consider a couple things before you drag Johnny to the theaters. Actually I take that back, there's a good chance you don't want him/her to see it. This movie is violent. Yes-siree. Many horrible killings and murderings take place- many in cold blood or for no apparent reason. All of them leave a pool of blood behind and many wounds. The film is brutal and probably disturbing to some. The murderer is a psycopath and no doubt, he is scary. Which reminds me; this movie may not be a horror flick, but it is scary. There are lots of jump scenes as well. But none of this takes anything from the A I've given it. It doesn't get an A plus because of the ending mostly. Frankly, it was confusing, odd and many will wonder why it had to end that way. Why couldn't there be a happy ending? I don't want you to hope for a happy ending here. It's a bout a serial killer who kills everyone. But in an intelligent, excellent, wonderful, awesome, (I can't say any more words for space in my review, if you want some more you'll have to think 'em up for yourself. There are more) etc. As for language, I haven't gotten to that yet. There isn't much. A PG-13 level. Not much sexual content either. Some minor innuendo taht would go over the head of an eight-year-old, but don't take your eight-year-old to see it. There is a teeny bit of racism toward Mexicans that isn't in a bad way- it's just the way it was back then. Just a teeny bit. All in all- I would say sixteen and up for the less experienced with violence, fourteen and up for veterans. By veterans I mean anyone who's seen, say, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypto, Gladiator, or gory stuff like that. It's an excellent, compelling movie. No doubt, I loved it. Some may not love it. It depends on your character. But most good movie fans will. An excellent crime movie. Excellent is the word that describes it. If you like the Coen brothers, check out "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" or maybe "Raising Arizona". (I haven't seen Fargo yet, maybe I'll get a review for that later)

WOW...
Is this REALLY the BEST picture of the YEAR?! That is sad, sad, sad...I mean, seriously, where was the ending in this movie? There was none. Man, I officially hate the Academy...they nominate terrible, terrible movies. I thought Charlie Wilson's War was hands down the best movie of the year, but that was nominated for anything!! Why do all of these movies like NCFOM and Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood have no endings whatsoever? They just cut to black for no reason. Go ahead, say I'm too young to understand this movie, but my mother, father, and I all agree that if No Country For Old Men is the best Hollywood writers can do, then those talentless cop-outs can stay on strike!!

O stars
This is a dumb movie. The whole movie is a about a crazy killer that just kills random people for stupid or no reason at all. There are a few funny lines but throughout the entire movie the old sherrif slowly follows the killer around always 1 step behind him and then at the end of the movie the killer walks away with a broken arm and the old sheriff just gives up. And retires. Also I don't see how the movie was even nomonated for an academy award, How can you win an award when the movie dosen't even have a good ending, in fact it didn't even have an ending. It had alot of pontential but it didn't follow through. Overall don't waste your time.
