Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about the way that diseases like Alzheimer's affect the family and how they can best respond. They could also talk about how we know who we are meant to be with and who we should listen to as we think about making that choice. A character in this movie says, "I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for me that has been enough." Is that enough for you?

    Charming and Lovely Love Story

I really enjoyed seeing this movie. It's in my DVD collection. It's a very touching love story. The love scene towards the end is a bit much, hence the 14 age appropriate, imo. Love this story.

Amazing film...but only for those 16+...

It is your classic love story. I watched it while I was still a teenager and found the sex scenes to be a little more intense than I was prepared for. Besides the sex scenes, the movie was very inspirational. It shows the timelessness of true love and the fight that you often have to put up to keep the love of your life. Full of passion and heart..you watch as two lovers find their way back to each other. It is one of my favorite movies of all time, but definitely not for young teens(up to 15).

Mature teens, I saw it with dad and am mature 11 yr. old!

I just watched this movie yesterday, and now it is my favorite movie, though some scenes are graphic, I'm 11 and was OK with it. This is the best movie and the actors are incredible, I got a chance to meet Ryan Gosling and he's rreally nice! See this movie! So sad, so sweet- perfect! See it, now!

Beautiful, slighty on the TOO-sexy side, but touching!!!!

This is an exremely beautiful romantic story but for MATURE teens. If you have just turned thirteen this is probably not a good movie for you to see alone. . . or with people! Not that much language (two b---- is as bad as it gets). See it with someone special when you are fourteen or over.

Wow. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Common sense is insane for giving of only two stars! It deserves much more than five! This is a really good love story. It is really sad, too. I was crying my eyes out. Especially at the end. I think that anyone who is at least 12 years old should watch this movie. The sex isn't graphic at all, so I don't know why these people are saying it is. Seriously, it is one of the best movies ever made. Watch it!

    So much for Morals...

I guess in our world of no morals, and I guess some may think I am living in a shell, but I still must say how disappointed I am to think that so many of my daughters 12 year old friends watched this movie and thought it was great. What about all the women who watched it and thought it was great. Is it great to embrace premarital sex let alone premarital sex with someone who is engaged to be married?? The sex scene is so graphic for such young ladies. But then they probably all have seen lots of movies like this. Shame on society for again embracing sin. What are we teaching our young ladies?? I didn't even have to rent this - TV was fine showing all the "good" stuff. This should most certainly be an "R" rated move by commonsense.

    Very touching yet inappropriate

I thought that the movie the notebook was a touching beautiful movie. But the inappropriate sex scenes make this movie to mature for anybody under 16.

A Great Love Story, But Not For Under 15s

The Notebook is a really sweet, if lukewarmly acted movie. The story is implausible, but fun and great for a sleepover/rainy day/sick day. The ammount of sex makes it an innapropriate title for younger viewers. There are no other real concerns for viewers under 13.

    Very Heartfelt Romance

This movie is a total chick flick. But it's also a fantastic movie. It's easily my favorite movie and I would favor it strongly! The sexual scene is not graphic, the nudity does not exhibit anything rather than Alli Hamilton's (Rachel McAdam) back. It probably will make you cry. Watch this if you like romantic movies!

    Very romantic ADULT movie

This has a very steamy sex scene when the characters get back together. Definitely not okay for 13 year olds. As far as the story goes, it's a very romantic movie about 2 people devoted to one another. But I do believe it is not rated appropriately due to sexual content.

    an ok movie overall

there's something that's gotta be said for a movie that has made some of my guy friends cry. it was a little too corny for me personally and i didn't cry at all, but i could definitely appreciate the true love allie and noah shared. i wouldn't suggest it for kids any younger than 14 though - the sex scene is pretty iffy.

    The Notebook

I thought that the notebook was an incredible love story. These two people loved eachother and they were driven away from eachother. During the story, they realize that they still love eachother, even though some things have come up.
