There were good messages including loyalty, good over evil, etc... as well as some good role models. There was a lot of sex, and some pretty bad cursing. They also had a bunch of product placement! In a few scenes there is also visible alcohol, and cocaine, but all in all it's a pretty good movie for teens, and adults.

I love watching this movie with a bunch of good friends! its very funny. although my friend and i have this game where when we see product placement we will yell it and we yelled it a LOT. the sex stuff was everywhere in this movie but that was what made it hillarious

There's also a key subplot about corruption and stealing, but they're not presented as admirable behavior. * Role models: The two main characters are bumbling types who just can’t get much right. But when they do, it’s amazing. They’re also fiercely loyal to each other, even if they don’t see eye to eye, and to their girlfriends/wives. What to watch out for * Violence: Plenty of violence, though much of it is played for laughs. Shootouts, explosions, fistfights, traffic accidents, a suicidal jumper, two men falling to their deaths. A car slams into a double-decker bus full of tourists. * Sex: A couple exchanges some fairly detailed, raunchy sex talk, with her mother serving as go-between; plenty of risque one-liners and references. A woman practically demands sex from a character while her husband is in another room. A man ogles his work partner’s wife’s cleavage. Discussions about how one character was a pimp in college. other than some bad language, this is an awesome comedy

I loved it. I thought if was one of the most hilarious movies of the year and I don't think there is anything in that movie that no 12 year old has never seen or heard.

Oh I loved this film,I love Mark wahlberg,I love Will Ferrell. I thought it was very funny,there was a very big shock at the beginning,I wasn't expecting 'that big shock' at all.... I felt really sad for Ferrell because Wahlberg is really mean to him in this... Really sad... But if you are a fan of Wahlberg or Ferrell or BOTH you should see this. It has a lot of big stars in this film - Michael Keaton,Eva Mendez,Samuel L.Jackson and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Well I loved it,doesn't mean everyone else will ... ... :)

The movie is excellent. It is funny, but does have a bit of inappropriate references. Kids younger than 8 probably wouldn't get the references, so they could probably watch the movie, although for ages 9-12 it might be awkward to watch with parents. Otherwise, product placement isn't an issue. I mean, so what if grand theft auto is referenced! It makes the movie more funny and if you don't want your kids playing those games they wont bother asking for it. The violence is nothing. No blood, and it is more there for character development and laughs then real fights. A bit of language, but nothing kids don't hear at school.

A little sex humor such as will Ferrels partner going gaga for his wife. They say that shelia comes and shows him her breasts every morning. They go to a bar and get drunk after some fights with their wives. It is funny but inappropriate for kids.
