This creepy chilling movie is a definetly a #1 ghost story. The story is about a mother who lives in a house in 1948 with her two children who cant be in light. When her daughter starts saying that she sees people in the house at first the mother gets angry and feed up with her thinking shes making it up. but she slowly starts to see and hear them. And as she starts to relise what her daughter said was true she starts to unravel daark, horrifying things and secrets that will haunt her for the rest of her life...... The movie is scary, creepy and to some younger viewers (10 and under) it can be horrifying. But its very well made and awsome from beggining to end!

WOW!!!!
I watched this movie when I was younger, not knowing anything at all about it, and I loved it! I watched it the whole way through with out being bored one bit throughout it! There are only two scary scenes, the rest is just suspenseful. I own this movie and I watch it all the time. I would suggest this to anyone! This is not a cliche teen horror flick. It is original and not only made for scares! You won't be disappointed that you spent your time or money on this. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Quite good at first .
Not really scary but when i first watched it, it was quite intense and some of it was disturbing. No gore or visual horror though, which is why it is rated a 12+.

Intense at moments
This movie is very intense at parts but not flat out scary. The language is not at all but there is a minor scene of sexuality between a married couple which is just kissing followed by an image of their backs naked in bed (nothing explicit)

Very creepy, but not with gore.
I was a little suspicious of this movie at first, because, well, that's just how I am. But was I in for a great surprise. It is extremely edge-of-your-couch creepy, but not with monsters with chainsaws and a lot of fake blood. This movie uses a method that is better, and possibly scarier. The suspense, creepy music, and sense of urgency and paranoia throughout the entire movie makes it that much creepier. I didn't guess the twist at the end, but then again, I'm glad I didn't. But watch this movie if you like this style.

Great for pre teens who like horror movies. No very frightening images and that is the great thing about this movie. All the scariness is in the suspense. Though younger kids might not like the idea of "intruders" in your house

it is a great horror movie with no gore or disturbing images but has a violent theme *SPOILER ALERT* the mom killed her children after going mad then herself and now is ghost with children and the "ghosts" were actually living people *SPOILER OVER* might scare some young children all the scares in the movie just were like pop out scary also the kids had a disease that made them unable to go in the sunlight that set a creppy mood in the movie

A Great First Horror Movie!
This wan my first real scary movie I watched. No violence, but one pretty creepy image. This is phycologicaly scary not blood and gory. There is suspense and creepy music. The twist is guessable but only when you try and listen to clues and think very hard. I guessed it vaguely about forty five minutes in, but my mom hinted around with me. Great if a kid wants to watch something scary without having nightmeres.

The secret will be discovered at the end of the film ...
This movie scared me. He is not violent, but the fantasy genre where there are ghosts and suspense. There are some scenes where a kind of cold shiver me covered, like the hand of the old woman holding the puppet or the book of the dead. Brr ... I would not recommend it to less than 12-13 years unless they are used to ghost movies. Just know that there are very sharp scenes that are frightening. But it's a horror movie really interesting that's worth seeing!

Psychological "Horror" Film is Very Creepy
This was a very well done scary movie. It wasn't very violent and not bloody at all, but the whole thing was tense. It had quite a few scary scenes, one famous one of which Grace goes to check on Anne and an old woman has taken Anne's place. The ending had an unexpected twist about exactly who the "others" were. There were some scenes of dead people, and one disturbing photo of two dead young boys.

I thought this movie were really good. It is creepy sometimes, but nothing too much. Watch it with your kid if you think the kid is mature enough. I think this movie would suit most kids 10 and up.
