I agree with everyone, this movie is a disgrace to CGI films.
I hate Planet 51. Rio, Dispicable Me, and the whole Shrek series are so much better. I hate Planet 51 because of the poor CGI, crappy voice-acting, and it's really boring.

skip this piece of forgettable junk and watch monsters vs aliens instead(cause the movie outdoes planet 51 in every aspec especially lead roles cause i found ginormica alot more likeable than chuck baker)
This movie was worse than escape from planet earth, plus anyone 10 or older will probably find the movie boring

Golden Raspberry Award Material
What a waste of the Rock's action talent and Justin Long's comedy talent. I saw the trailer and I realized how much it sucks. When it premiered on Cartoon Network on Monday, February 20, 2012, my brother Gage forced me to watch it. Should've won the following Razzie Awards in 2010: Worst Picture - Planet 51 Worst Actor - Justin Long Worst Actress - Jessica Biel Worst Supporting Actor - Gary Oldman Worst Director - Jorge Blanco Worst Remake, Sequel, Prequel, or Rip-Off - Rip-Off of ''Alien'' (1979) More Hate Talk: If three guys from Madrid, Spain are going to turn Ridley Scott into a laughingstock, they should at least completely cancelled the idea. I mean, who's ever heard of a bad movie with good ratings. Oh, and everybody knows aliens can talk. NOT!! I am glad Common Sense gave this a 2 star. It should have gotten a 1 star saying, ''Tedious 'Alien' Rip-Off Falls Flat'', especially for the fact that RT (Rotten Tomatoes) gave this a rotten 22%. They should have cancelled and even scraped this entire idea to protect Ridley Scott's reputation. When Illion Animation Studios announced this, the population who have heard and saw about the announement and trailers should have boycotted this movie. Bottom line, that's two hours of my life I'm never getting back.

alien/human adventure is very funny, and OK for some tweens
this film was hilarious, but the humor is very mild. there is some action, including explosions, guns, and some fist fights. overall, this film was good, but not as funny as the trailer says.

Good movie.
Planet 51 is a great movie with a great story and a great 3D designed. It is not educative enough, but is still great. There's some words that are kinda vulgar . There's sex references, mostly flirting. There's no drug reference. What should I say more?

AW MAN, THIS SUCKS!!!
This film is so disgusting and agitating with its incredibly lazy plot. The medicine scene is the worst part.

Okay but not a wow factor
I thought this was an okay movie. It's what you'd typically expect of a kids movie except there were a few jokes or little things that happened that weren't very appropriate for younger kids.

A few crude jokes make this decent animated comedy best left for younger tweens and up
There have been countless animated movies that have fallen flat (Doogal, Space Chimps, Shrek the Third, etc.) and some that have triumphed (Up, Surf's Up!, The Incredibles, and so on). Planet 51, an animated family comedy from inde production groups, probably falls in the middle. To start with, the character animations, particularly the astronaut's, is superb. But the backrounds are heinous and distasteful. When you have a few good animated characteristics and some bad ones, the movie won't end up looking too good overall, and that's basically what happened here. The jokes are low-brow (to say the least) and some are really offensive. They involve naked humans, anal probes, and "hooking up" references, so this is best reserved for younger tweens and up. Older viewers will appreciate references to 50s' music and movies, but there is simply too much product placement to ignore. All in all, Planet 51 is a decent animated comedy that falls flat in trying to be new and age-appropriate, but may intice viewers with its homage to 50s' products and people. Still, it has far too many vulgar talk to be completely family-friendly.

Okay movie
Not really enjoyable, probably a bit funny for kids but some of the humour will go over their heads. The writers had a back to the future marathon before filming this, plus they used a whole bunch of stuff from other movies. Altogether not very creative.

Very Funny Movie!
This movie was surprisingly good. I expected it to be OK, but it turned out to be a really good film. There is some suggestive humor, such as a reference to a human's "antenna", sticking corks up your butt to avoid probing, and a few other things. It was overall a really good movie, and I don't understand why Common Sense says it was "underwhelming."
