I saw this movie after watching Inglorious Bastards, Jackie Brown, and both of the Kill Bill movies. The movie is without doubt incredible and the every single conversation in this movie had a purpose and this at least this movie had some character to it. All the characters have "character" and they aren't just there. As for drug use the only character that heavily use's them is Mia (Uma Thurman) who is seen snorting coke constantly and eventually in the same day she overdoses. The scene is extremely intense and graphic but as a side note it shows one of the many things that can happen to drug users and if you think about it, it really does show how bad drugs are. The language was over the top in the movie but it was not like every other word was "F**k". The swearing was balanced into conversations and the word is also used out of stress. The F word is about the only swear there is besides a few use's of the N word. The violence really comes from the overdoes scene and the rape scene. One innocent bystander got shot by accident. Then in one scene 3 people get shot with a some blood. One character gets shot by accident in a car and the blood sprays everywhere. The rape scene was more disturbing then graphic. A gimp is seen briefly before getting punched with the victim escaping to get a weapon then kill the others. But you don't see a single cop in the whole movie (besides one of the rapists) and in real life legal action would be taken and that makes the film feel unrealistic in a large aspect. Characters are seen smoking quite a bit. There aren't many real life products mentioned besides Mcdonalds and Burger King but then besides that Tarantino mocks product placement by having movie exclusive brands for the film. But if you are going to see this movie, watch it uncensored. The movie wouldn't be the same without any swearing. Then if scenes get censored with would just mess a lot of the atmosphere up. But if you ever watch a Quentin Tarantino movie, you know what your getting into. But if this is too over the top for kids (or adults) I suggest watching Jackie Brown. That movie has some swearing and drug use but it is extremely mild compared to this movie and for the first 2 hours of the movie only one character dies (I'm talking about Jackie Brown). So if you are going to see this, see it the way it was meant to be seen. But watch Jackie Brown as an alternative to this movie if you like Quentin Tarantino movies but then Pulp Fiction is too over the top for you and for those of you that liked this move then you will like Jackie Brown.

Don't let common sense fool you, the violence isn't that bad. While there is much shooting and killing, there are few scenes with lots of blood. When they appear though, they are pretty bloody. The drug use is very prevalent, and while there are no legal consequences, one character nearly dies of a heroin overdose. As for sex, there is one homosexual rape scene. You hear grunts and yells for a bit, and then you see the victim bent over on a chair with the rapist thrusting behind him. No genitals are shown, but it is still pretty graphic. Also, a character apprears in a full body sadomasochistic suit

This is without doubt Tarantino's best film, I have seen almost all of his movies, and this is the one that sticks out in my memory. Almost every line in the movie makes for a great quote. One of John Travolta's best films, and Samuel L. Jackson is excellent as always. There is however a good deal of violence. Lots of blood and gore, a couple very violent scenes are set in a very humorous tone. (Man accidentally shot in the face, sets off comedic dialogue.) There is a torture scene, a man is slashed by a katana, a man is shot in the private area, another person is shot in the leg, a guy gets run over by a car, etc... etc... As for langauge... Well this movie actually set the record for the most uses of the F-word in a single film. 271 to be exact, also quite a few racial slurs, as well as other various assorted cussing. Also, there is some sexual content, implied oral sex (appears off screen), a man is briefly shown being raped... etc... Yet another major factor would be the drug use, many characters "shoot up" with heroin, one girl overdoses, main characters use drugs like some would take aspirin. All in all, Pulp Fiction is one of the most entertaining films of its genre. It should be OK for most older teens.

Only real concern is the swearing (it uses f*** over 250 times, however no uses of the word c***) violence for the most part is tame (a bit of blood, occasionally comic) except for a brief rape sequence with two me (played for laughes), drug content is much stronger than the average film, but is shown in a negative view for a girl overdoses

A masterpiece, but avoid it if you have a weak stomache or just don't enjoy violence.

Obviously, Pulp Fiction is Tarantino's best work, and I've seen all of his films except for Death Proof. In Pulp Fiction, Tarantino combines 4 plots that seem like they're unrelated...but they all end up that way (in true Tarantino fashion). Not only does this film have some truly great scenes that have become alluded to everywhere, the dialogue is some of the best ever (funny and extremely quotable). John Travolta is at his absolute best in this movie, and Samuel L. Jackson is good as always, right up to the level of his roles in Jackie Brown (also by Tarantino) and Snakes on a Plane. But it's not for kids...no surprise there. Violence? Yeah, there's lots of it. Maybe Tarantino ordered an entire silo full of fake blood, as it's put to good use here. Guns are used a lot, but katanas (Japanese swords) are used in one scene. In terms of bad language, keep in mind that about 2 f-bombs are dropped every minute (265 f-bombs in 164 minutes). There's milder language, too. In terms of sex, there's a brief rape and some S&M activity (both rather undetailed). Finally, the drug use in Pulp Fiction is extremely graphic. I cringed when I saw Vincent shooting up heroin (especially when a glob of his blood swirls around inside the heroin solution before he injects). Also, there's a scene with Mia snorting some of Vincent's high-potency heroin he injected in that earlier scene. She overdoses; her face is bloody, and she's foaming from the mouth. Then, there's a scene a lot of people talk about: someone stabs a syringe filled with epinephrine in Mia's chest (it's graphic). But even with all this bad content...Pulp Fiction's an excellent film. No doubt about that. It's worth much more than that $5 milkshake, tastier than that Big Kahuna burger...and not for kids under 14. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. But KNOW YOUR KID.

The violence in Pulp Fiction is not NEARLY anywhere as much as people advertise it to be. While it can be bloody, it is infrequent and done for comedy (mostly). The language is the only major concern people should have, as it is continuos, but it is used casually, unlike Tarintinos first film, Reservoir Dogs, where the bad language was used aggressively. The only other concern of the film is the rape scene, in which a man is bent over being and a man thrusting into him from behind. (he is shortly saved) Overall the language is frequent, by don't let it stop you from watching a great film.
