One of the best family films I've seen in a long time! Funny, Sweet, and Josh Duhamel is entertaining! Perfect for families!
Brothers, sisters, and siblings, yes they can be annoying, but sometimes we could show some respect for our siblings. In Ramona and Beezus, Ramona is trying to get along with her sister Beezus, who is trying to have a good life in her begging year in high school.Newcomer Joey King is sweet and funny as Ramona, who is sort of a trouble maker.Selena Gomez plays a nice performance as Beezus,(Ramona's sister). Josh Duhamel is terrific , and funny as the goofy Hobart. This is a film for everyone to see. It's funny, sweet, entertaining, with terrific performances from Joey King, and Josh Duhamel. I was surprisingly and completely entertained by the welcoming performances, funny and sweet moments, and the nice ending.
This is a perfect film for young kids 6+. NOTE:This film involves a sad,but off-screen(you don't visually see it,but you do hear it a few times)death of a family pet,but is handled gently, and quickly.
Overall: A Funny, sweet, entertaining movie with very nice performances from newcomer Joey King and Josh Duhamel.
I give this film an A- to a B+.I give this an ON for young kids 6+. This is a film that is wonderfully acting and a pleasing surprise. Plus, Gennifer Goodwin is also gives a wonderfully terrific performance as Aunt Bea(Aunt Beatrice). What a great family film this is.Surprisingly well-done.Parents: Let your young kids see this great family film. I'm sure the young kids will enjoy it as much as any parent will. So See IT!
Sweet family movie best for 8 and up, but fine for younger kids
This was a cute movie, nothing I haven't seen before but still great. Ramona is a lovable, outspoken character and her mischievous antics are entertaining, and Beezus is a good big sister even though she and Ramona obviously don't always get along. There are a few themes in the movie that are a bit more mature (much of the movie is centered on the fact that the dad has lost his job, lighthearted romances between Beezus and Henry and the Quimby's aunt and next-door neighbor's uncle, death of a pet, fitting into your family, etc.), so the movie would be best understood by older grade-schoolers, but there's nothing that's inappropriate for younger kids.
Great movie Joey King is good at acting. It looks like she has a bright future ahead. Selena was good to and so was the rest of the cast to. Its a great family night fun loving film that the whole family might enjoy. It tells the story of 9 or 8 year old Ramona Quimbly, who tries to help others but ends up getting herself into trouble. And tries to run away but her family comes to get her. You have to see the film to hear the rest of the story or read the book. I recommend you read the book first because you won't get the plot if you see the movie first. Well thanks for reading! :O)
I wish Common Sense Media added half-stars to films, as I would give this a two-and-a-half rating. To put it simply, this film is somewhat watchable, but it will not really appeal to adults because it is too goofy and "kiddish". Nothing that will offend parents, but I don't think they will like a film like this very much.
It's REALLY CUTE. some mean names and a couple kiises & a wedding but come on. no matter what movie no matter what movie there's gonna be some minor issues I mean come ON people I LOVE THE MOVIES & BOOKS! <3
I Loved this movie! Made me cry and think of how good life can really be. I think the lesson is "even when life turnes around, you and the ones who love you can make it better. Never give up and never forget that the ones who love you will always be there for you." I loved the movie and i hope you do too! - Jessica , Age 12
I saw this movie the day after it came out and I was very surprised. I thought it was going to be stupid, but it was one of the best live action kids movies I have seen in a long time. Joey King who plays Ramona surprised me that she could pull the character of Ramona off. Her performance was superb and she was the only one in the entire movie that had me laughing. SPOILERS: Especially when she auditioned for the peanut butter commercial. In conclusion, take your kids to see this, but I do warn you if they are sensitive to vomit noises, that part would be a good bathroom break, although there is nothing graphic. You just see Ramona lean down, you hear the noises and that's it.
Selena Gomez did a wonderful job acting in this movie!
A cute new friendly kids movie, If you love Selena Gomez than you will love Ramona and Beezus. The language is the only problem. Anybody I know loves this movie. Entertaining. I love it!!
