Fantastic movie that teaches kids about racism; some iffy parts
Fabulous movie that teaches we are all equal no matter what race you are. The only sex is one scene where a guy kisses another guy in a locker room, but it's like a 1 second kiss. Of course, there's violence: football tackles, a car crash, and some injuries. Some foul language and insults. Perfect movie for 10 and up kids to learn about how racism was used back then and it should never have been.
Perfect for kids who understand racial conflicts, and it is a funny watch for younger kids.
This is the best movie I have ever seen by far. It tells the real story, not to harsh, or even sugar coating it. The language is a little harsh. I haven't watched it in a while, but as far as I can recall, I cannot remember any use of the "N" word. As far as the scene of a boy kissing a boy, it is not in a homosexual sense, only one boy does the kissing, the other is appaled by it. There are many images of the football players in the locker room with their shirts off, and many "yo mamma" jokes are cracked. Some of the white folks refer to the black folks as "coons", and the head coach that got bumped down when a black coach came has a daughter, but no mother. But overall it is a very good movie. It's a classic, and humorous.
Remember of the Titans
Remember the Titans is based on true story. It is football movie that everybody in the family can fall in love with. The characters hate each other because of race. They come together and then become state champions. The characters in the movie become best friends. The scene that gets me is when Julian a black player and Jerry a white player come together and start to chant strong side, left side. From there the team comes together and becomes one of the best football teams in Virginia History. A great movie, I recommend to anybody.
Remember the Titans is an amazing movie that can change the way people look at football, and also racism. Throughout the movie the football team strives to win, and they work together as a family. At first the society doesn’t like this. But they realize how close the boys are getting. Then people start realizing they are all a family and we shouldn’t judge people based on their race, or color. Even though it is violent, and shows a lot of vulgar things. This movie does preach a great message for all viewers. And can really change how people look at this terrible subject of racism.

The appeal to movies where we know the team is going to win ("Secretariat," "We Are Marshall") is actaully really fun, because even though you know what's gonna happen, it's fun to see HOW it happens. Denzel delivers another rewarding role, the acting is great among all, and it was fun seeing Faison out of his scrubs!
I really liked this movie it is a great movie about how black and white get together even though they are different they is two boys kissing for maybe 5 seconds but other than that it is a great movie
Its a really great movie. My teacher showed it to my class. Were in sixth grade. There were some kids who are immature and couldnt handle the movie, but most of us could. There is some violence. Its mostly just football and some fights. One of the main characters, Gerry, gets into a car crash. There are so many role models in this movie, i really cant name them all. There are also positive messages. The language is a little bad. With some words like d*** , he**, and some jokes about people. There is one scence where Gerry, calls a new boy with long hair a "fruitcake." Later in the locker room, that same boy, Ronnie "Sunshine" kisses Jerry. It wasnt becuase he was homosexual, it was becuase he was trying to get back at Gerry. He kissed him to make Gerry look dumb. And in real life, that kiss never did happen. And in the movie, the boy isnt a homosexual. Overall, this is a great movie, for mature kids who will understand that acts of racisim and the stereotypes people made about each other. Hope this helps! :)
