Wonderful movie
My 8-year-old deaughter and her friends love this movie and watch it over and over and it's a football movie! But it's obviously more than that. It's the story of teenagers who dislike each other for no reason other than color of skin. And the coach who insists that they overcome this handicap. It has lots of characters who have to make a decision as to how to live. Both football coaches make mistakes and have to apologize. Adults apologizing is fascinating to kids. Characters get mad like in real life--subtly. There is lots of grey area. It's complex, just like life. That it's based on a true story makes it even more enjoyable. The music from the '70 is wonderful. A great way to get my daughter singing the Temptations.
The only caveats are that it's hard to explain why the white kids are so mean to the black kids at the beginning. And the story is complex. Other than that it's just a great story well told.

Best football movie ever
Remember of the Titans Remember the Titans is based on true story. It is football movie that everybody in the family can fall in love with. The characters hate each other because of race. They come together and then become state champions. The characters in the movie become best friends. The scene that gets me is when Julian a black player and Jerry a white player come together and start to chant strong side, left side. From there the team comes together and becomes one of the best football teams in Virginia History. A great movie, I recommend to anybody.

Great.
Remember the Titans is a great film for the family to watch; both kids and adults will enjoy it. It's my favorite sports film of all time! As far as content goes, it's appropriate for the family if you don't mind a bit of mild language and sports violence, as well as a sad but brief car crash.
