Bland, boring, violent and stupid. Margery Sharp, author of the charming books in which the worthy The Rescuers (1977) and this pathetic sequel are based on, would have died seeing what Disney has turned her works into.
The film features a boring story, with bland characters and worst of all, no bit of charm anywhere. The story is surprisingly a rip off of the original's, but pathetically enough, this one didn't manage to capture half of its value. I'd skip this one unless you're into Disney's cheap-sequel-fest fare.
It's true. Only got $27 Million. The movie was not that bad. It was okay... This should not be considered a sequel because it didn't start where The Rescuers (1977) left off. Mainly, Cody accepts to rescue Marahute, a golden eagle, but kidnapped by poacher named McLeach. Bernard and Bianca of R.A.S set to rescue him - but not quite. The duo were the most boring charectors of the film. Bianca does almost nothing and Bernard doesn't want to rescue Cody and only wants to propose marriage to Bianca. Jake was the ONLY one who did effort to save Cody and the film leaves Cody rescued - but questions unanswered. Go buy the first film is all I can say but buy this to help you sleep.
Such a great movie - but the poacher character can be frightening, as well as Joanna (his salamander).
I think that the mice and the funny albatross temper the scary parts.
