What’s the Story?

THE SANDLOT 2 returns to the popular neighborhood playing field of The Sandlot and features a gang of boys led by David (Max Lloyd Jones) and rival gang of girls, led by the "liberated" Hayley (Samantha Burton). Both groups want the field for playing, and when they team together, they battle a "real" team of snooty Little Leaguers. The drama then switches to a fear of the enormous dog that lives in the yard next to the Sandlot.

Is It Any Good?

The Sandlot 2 does a good job of assembling a diverse cast, including children of different races, genders and abilities (a member of the boys' gang is deaf, and James Earl Jones plays a blind character). Not the worst movie for kids, but nothing really special, either.
