This a truly great but under-appreciated movie about heroism and self-sacrifice. Full of great role models and positive messages. The violence is minimal and non-bloody, and the swearing is limited to several uses of d***. There is a somewhat intense execution scene, although nothing very disturbing is shown. There is also one scene with implied torture, although again it isn't shown. No sexual content other than one brief, innocent kiss. May be too (in)tense for kids under 11.
