desterbing great gritty
this is a outstanding movie that everyone should see at some point, it will change you. We see jews being tortured shot at point blank range and it doesn't hold back it shows the harshest and worst of humans and you ask yourself how can anyone do such a thing. We see fantastic character development through Oskar Schindler and ull see also the kindness of humans. What age can handle it completely depends after i myself saw it doent want to have anything to do with WWII again in my life others might inspire them to learn more it just depends.

Should be on of the first R movies your kids see
This has a very positive message dont listen to the people saying Its not for people under 17. This movie needs to be seen at 10-14 It depends on maturity but 15 at the latest. Kids need to be exposed to stuff like this kids now seem to glorify war and violence and think people will just be ok at the end of the day.So you need to show them some deep stuff. tweens and teens should see this end of story I watched tis at 12 and watched Saving private Ryan at 12 and it was a strong thing to watch but it tought me that war isn't fun and cool it is hell. Yo should not shelter people I am thankful that my parents showed this to me younger. Just make sure you talk about the movie afterwards to further the point. kids need to see war for what it is

Great movie... But also very depressing
i recently saw this movie and have to say it is an excellent movie but for anyone under the age of 14 it is not for them. there is constant incredibly realistic violence. children are slaughtered and there are many disturbing scenes. there is also 2 scenes with full frontal nudity of male and females with exposed genitals, there is about 6 or 7 f words and there are a few sex scenes all with bare breasts. even so pick up this great award winner

A great Holocaust film.
This is a great Holocaust film. It can be really disturbing and violent at times but if your kid is mature enough to handle it, it is a very educational film.

e.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
It's too morally simplistic and a little too mainstream to really be a masterpiece, but it is very, very good.

A Must See Movie
An absolutely amazing movie portraying a very accurate model of what the experience was like for Jews. I was shown this movie at school and it is very disturbing, but heart-lifting. I honestly had a hard time sitting though this movie, but it is meant to be that way so you can feel how those people felt. The iffy parts can be edited out easily without missing anything, as it was what they did at my school. This is a must see movie.

Positive message excuses negative elements
This movie did have a bit of sexualized nudity..but the powerful messages the movie conveyed about what was right and true in the world outweigh the sexual moments. There is full frontal nudity of both males and females however it is not sexual in nature in anyway. This movie does have a great amount of violence, but it was the Holocaust. You can't sugarcoat that. The language was also very strong, but it was part of characterization, not just thrown in to make the movie funnier or more crude. Schindler's List is a movie where it really makes you think about what is right in the world and what lengths doing the right thing is worth going to. It's powerful message outweighs its negatives. In conclusion, you know your kid and what they can handle and what their maturity level is.

It has a very good message
Schindler's List gives a lot of detail about the Holocaust and how much the Jews struggled. Although the language content is adult sometimes, it tells you alot of how cruely the Jews were treated. I thought it was a very great movie! Age to see it depends on how well you can handle it and it may be different for everybody.

one of the best movies ever made
This movie was simply amazing. I think that everyone should watch it at some point in their life but people under 13 or who are easily depressed should be warned that it is a very depressing movie. There are some iffy scenes but I think that most people can deal with them.

Mature audiences only--and I mean it!
My rating: R for realistic and disturbing content related to the Holocaust and involving violent and bloody depictions of genocide, scenes of full-frontal and partial nudity, smoking throughout, a scene of sexuality, and for some strong language. Positive Messages & Role Models: 5/5 - The entire film revolves around Oskar Schindler, a man who puts his entire life at stake in order to save Polish Jews from the Holocaust. Violence: 5/5 - Point-blank shootings resulting in bleeding and death, a gas chamber scene, and after all, it all revolves around the Holocaust. Sex: 5/5 - One scene actually shows people engaging, plus there are around three or four full scenes including nude shots ranging anywhere from partial to full-frontal (shown as people strip for "taking a shower" as well as a few others). Language: 3.5/5 - Around ten uses of the F-bomb, plus one cruel anti-Semitic joke using the word "pr--k". Also, "b----rd" is used here and there, and frequent anti-Semitic insults are said. Consumerism: 0/5 - No problem. Drugs & Drinking: 3/5 - Cigarettes are puffed pervasively by quite a few characters (including Oskar Schindler himself), and it is unfortunately relevant for the time period. During party scenes, we see a few glasses of alcohol, but other than smoking, no other drugs are mentioned or used whatsoever.

Touching holocaust masterpiece is for mature teens and up.
"Schindler's List" is the true story of Oskar Schindler, a German who lived during world war 2, who got confronted with the holocaust and helped saving the lives of over 1100 jews. The whole movie is touching, heartbreaeking and extremely well made. Liam Neeson gives a terrific performance as Oskar Schindler, but also all of the other members of the cast - including outstanding performances by Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes - are excellent. The musical score by John Williams is great, and makes you feel touched even if you have not seen the movie. The optical look is at the highest level, the black/white optic is visualy striking. "Schindler's List" is without a doubt one of the best movies ever made and should be seen by everyone. There is some nudity and profanity, but this is not what you will remember after watching this movie. The movie has graphic depictions of holocaust, jews are treated like objects. Often they are executed just for fun and they are shot in the head and blood flows out. (please note this movie is mostly black and white and so are the violent scenes) The violence is neither too strong nor too sick for mature teenagers, but this is a movie where i have to say not everyone will handle it. Before you show this to your kids, you better watch it on your own first and then decide if your kid is mature enough.

A great movie
Schindler's List is a phonemenal movie directed flawlessly by Steven Spielberg. It centers around the Holocaust and a man named Oskar Schindler who saved more than 1,000 Jews in Germany in a factory. While this movie is in black and white to illustrate the realism, it includes lots of violence with shootings and mass murders by the Nazis. There are scenes of nudity but not in a sexual way just changing. But the role model Oskar and the message really makes the movie.

The sexual content in this movie is big there r about 5 sex scenes were u c womens breasts in all of them. The nudity was a huge matter in this movie there where the sex scenes. Then there is a inspection 2 c if u r healthy at the camp. In this inspection THERE IS COMPLETE FRONTAL NUDITY OF WOMEN AND MEN WHEN I SAY U C EVERYTHING I MEAN U LITTERALLY C EVERYTHING. Theres about 15 scenes of that. The violence was big to but not as big as the nudity.Peoples heads get blown off for simple mistakes, they also get shot just for the Natzi's fun.The language wasnt that very bad there were about nine uses of f**k. Overall it was a masterpiece but, it also shows how cruel the world can b sometimes. Iwould recommend this movie for 17 an older but i think i really mature 14 year old could watch it. This movie tells the tale of one of the darkest times in our history.
