High on violence, higher on good messages.
A great movie. REALLY violent though. Lots of blood and gore. Lots of bad language including f--k and some variations of it.
However, Bob Lee proves to be a positive role model underneath the sniper that he is. His message, plain and simple, is to never give up, and ally who you can and who trusts you. If your child wants to see this movie, discuss with him or her at the end. Find what the child learned. It really is a good movie. Worth buying the first time. Thanks!

A Graphic Movie,But You Will Always Want To Watch It Over And Over Again...
Shooter,A Satisfying,And Gory Action Movie,Like The Expendables.Eventhough The Main Problem In The Movie Is The Gory Violence,But Also The Language Can Be Raunchy Also.Also The Movie Is Rated R For Mainly Violence,It Still Can Have Some Graphic Scenes,For Example Heads Getting Blown To Pieces.But This Movie Will Want You To Watch It More,And More.That Is Why In My Opinion,Is Preferred For Adults 15 And Up.

this is my favorite movie...some graphic head shots...they all drop the f-bomb sometimes...but in the end it all comes down to...he never gives up, the bad guys dont win, and sarah fenn is assuminglly not a widow any more...justice doesn't suit this situation...and the Government gets screwed over which is the way it should be...i love this movie

Good action for those over 13
I liked this movie and the fact that there was not a swear every second, plenty of action, anyone over 13 who can't handle this has been raised only on G-rated Disney crap! Dreamworks is better and more versitle.

Amazing fast-paced thriller offers everything a good movie should.
Just...Amazing! I'm all for political thrillers, and movies with twists. This movie was so interesting, and although they could have cut some of the violence out, I don't think it undermines the rest of the film at all. If you like fast-paced, whats-going-to-happen-next movies, this is the one for you. Definately not only for kids, but for mature teens only. It does have a lot of blood, and the plot can be confusing.

Must For Any Action Junkie
This movie truly is action Packed one set of expolosions sent a chill done my spineit was awesome! As you know from the previews the main character Bob Swagger or (Mark Walberg) wields a sniper rifle and everyone pretty much nows that a sniper rifle wont just make a little cut it will shoot off a arm or finger or blast right through a skull so with that said the violence in this is bloody and counties throughout but is very good there is a government coverup like any government flick but is good.

This movie was really good, but might not have been appropriate for young children. There was alot of bloody sniping, close range shootings, and some stabings. But then again if your older thats the type of stuff you want!

i loved this movie. It was cool and suspenseful. as for content if you can put up with some swearing if you fast forward the opening scene the violence is not as bad as commonsense decribes it
