(Shrek) is a funny family film that involves some gross, but funny parts. This IS an animated film,but this animated film does include some suggestive humor younger children(ages 5 - 7)won't understand and mild language including some brief insulting and brief mild cursing.(Even though I had some issue for younger kids about this movie) I give this funny animated fairytale an ON for ages 7 - 8 + and an A -. This is one funny animated family you and your family DO NOT want to miss on DVD today.

This was a different take on fairytales. This is a very good movie, but I could have done without the crude humor. The movie has good messages about accepting yourself for who you are no matter what. It has some language (a*s, but it's used to agrees Donkey) and spme scenes of violence/peril. The dragon isn't too scary, but it may scare kids. As I mentioned before, there's some crude humor (like how bad the ogress smell) but I actually didn't get the innuendo, but I did watch it when I was younger.

Great movie! I did not like how violent it was or the potty humor they used. They were mostly swears like "butt", "crap", "a-s", "d--m" and "stupid". The beginning scared me when Shrek roared at all the hunters away. Which is why it is not for little kids.

My rating: PG for language, some scary animated action and brief crude humor.

Okay you people lose your minds with movie's like this.The violence only Robin Hoods gang and some of Farquad's nights are shown getting hurt.The skeletons I always see them in G rated cartoons.What shrek eats never did my five year old brother any harm.In fact he didn't even notice what he was eating from.The point of the movie was a bout Shrek finding who he was made for I mean when does a movie not have a point?On the other hand great movie love the story!

a good movie with alot of funny scenes has some swearing but other than that the movie is one of the best fairytail movies made

THis movie was great in my opinion but if you think it is too sexual than you don't know what else is on T.V.Almost every movie has a "bond" between characters like Toy Story and Aladdin and other movies.The violence is not much compared to television,if it were made by other people I'm sure they would've made the exploding bird bleed exesisivly. Okay the use of the language I kind of understand but it is better than what is called "entertainment " these days.
