Awesome movie. Maybe not as action-packed or gorey as its sequels, but in my opinion, the best one out of them all. Hannibal Lector is my favorite fictional serial killer by far.
If hat I put down somthing that says says 13 or 14+ than don't look at that
Silence of the lambs is a 15 and older film. You will break your kid if there any younger and wath the entire seen. Violence: None really in the firt half but they have a gory investigation on a woman we think she was raped,Later in the movie Hannibal brutaly beats two cops for 5 minutes and than eats them and wears there skin and also guns, blood, kidnaps etc.SEXUAL: Hannibal makes grapic lewd comments about a senator and one of them is "Did your daughter suck on your t**s and did you breast feed her. You see a females bare breast just at a glimpse and you see a male makng a pornographic video of himself and says many times he would f*** himself and you see him full frontal. LANGUAGE: 20 f words,10 sh**,50 other profanities, and 100 other milder profanitys. Don't get me wrong it's a great film but be MATURE FOR THIS ONE. It was nominated for 6 oscars and won 5 I know that means nothing to you but it's a good twisted film SEE IT!
This is one of the most brilliant movies ever made, and it's the kind that is not only scary while you are seeing it, but also sticks with you long after it is over and scares you. The movie is done excellently. For about the first hour or so, most violence is just discussed, and there is a dead body that has been underwater for days. Kind of gross, but not really by today's standards. Howvever, in about the last half hour, it's pretty violent. Muitilated bodies, people shot, stuff like that. Also, some scenes have a lot of tension (at one point, I was yelling at the TV, haha). There is stuff that is sexual, and CSM pretty much said it all for that. I think this is not for kids because of the intensity and all around creepy-ness. But if you're old enough, I highly recommend seeing it. It deserved the Oscars that it won.
i can completely understand why this is considered a classic by some. even though i walked away from the movie disturbed and creeped out, it was also thought provoking. anthony hopkins was absolutely brilliant. i'd suggest this movie for kids 15+, and parents should watch it with their kids if they're anywhere from 13-16 depending on their maturity level. but don't watch this movie alone!! :)
