I love the movie and my 9 year old loved it too. The thing I do when my kids want to watch a scary movie is that we watch the behind the scenes stuff first so they know it is not real and no one gets hurt that it is all pretend.

No one under 10 ....!
I have to say I hadn't thought about letting my kids see this but they have seen refernces too it in other movies so my husband rented it. There are some really grisly scenes that we had to cover their eyes for but all in all they did enjoy the suspence and thriller part of the movie. I love watching movies with my kids because it opens up a dialect. One it gets them using their critical thinking but it also helps them reflect on loved ones we have recently lost.

WOW!!!
This is the first movie to actually take me by surprise. Everytime you were given a chance to figure it out, it changed and didn't give you the opportunity to get it. I had to watch it again to see how it was so perfect. I have to say this is, by far, one of the best movies, ever. Some of the effects aren't for younger children, so know your child and warn them ahead of time that what they are seeing is not real.

Good movie, probably the best ending I've ever seen
This was a pretty good movie. There are many jump-out surprises, and some of the ghosts you see have bloody wounds. There are repeated scenes of a shooting and a nearly off screen suicide. There is a little swearing (maybe 3 or 4 s**t's). I wasn't scared (I even fell asleep in the middle of the movie), however I don't find movies scary. I would recommend this for maybe 11 year olds or a 10 year old, however parents should watch it with them if their kids are easily scared.

although this movie is ok.

Fantastic but R rated elements
The only concern is how scared your child will be 70 percent of the time scars anyone under the age of 15 kids will sya there not scared but the images and music make it horrific.

Great Psychological Thriller
This is a great movie, with a wonderful surprise ending leaving you kicking yourself for not taking all the clues into consideration. Some of the ghosts are grisly, and I remember I was rather disturbed by when the boy goes into the kitchen and finds a creepy ghost that he mistakes for his mother. There is a little bit of tipsiness in the beginning, and a man shows up in the antagonist’s bathroom in his underwear. That aside, this truly is a fantastic movie, one of the best psychological thrillers I have ever seen. Good for teens and up.

This is a WONDERFUL movie, definitely worth watching, but not for the faint of heart or the young. It took me several days after seeing this movie to get it out of my head. The younger a child is, the more it would disturb the child, so I say no one under 15 should watch this movie.

I've seen this movie, and it is a wonderful movie, masterfully made. M. Night Shyamalan did a wonderful job on this. Although, this movie contains extremely horrifying, disturbing, and sometimes graphic images that may severely shock younger kids for a good period of time. No one under 15 should watch this movie, in my opinion.

Horror or Funny??
I liked this movie but it did have some scary parts but not as many as other horror movies I have seen. They do swear a few times during the movie. There is a bit of drinking but not that bad. But i thought the man was a good role model because he was helping some one and giving a helping hand. I like this movie just cause i like horror movies. It does have scary parts but not that many. It was a type of movie that you could laugh at during parts of it.

Good film.
This is a very good well made film. It made M. Night Shamalayn famous. It's definitely too scary for the young ones but great for mature tweens and teens.

Tweens will like it; thoughtful but just the right amount of scary.
Not really scary. But it is thought provoking and surprising (which may make young kids jump). Another recommendation: Artificial Intelligence.

Good for teens of any age, but not for those under ten, at least
A good movie for those with semi-weak stomachs. Some surprising twists, a bit too violent, but... hey. Can't go wrong with this!

thumbs up
not too scary, good for a tweenies first horror movie, it was my first horror movie! great plot line and ending with a few little twists.

Awesome Horror Film
I thought this was a fairly good movie. I saw it when I was 12 and I didn't think it was all that scary. Just a little disturbing when the girl throws up. But other than that, a must see.

An excellent movie, but know your child; a little haunting
This movie is truly stunning. The writing is incredible, and I was impressed with the acting. There are some comforting views on death and on what the boy, Cole, experiences throughout the film. The movie may seem dark but Cole somehow touches the viewer with his bravery and acceptance, which adds a positive spin. However the first time you see it you may be nervous about what will happen next. To tell the truth I watched it wanting a scary movie when in fact I found it to be moving and enjoyable, but certainly not scary, and I am 13. This is NOT a SCARY movie. Some scenes, however, are truly frightening (i.e. Cole sees a family hanged in a hallway, which his therapist, played by Bruce Willis, does not see, a young girl, dead, vomits and scares Cole, a boy is shown with a huge gunshot wound to the head, and a woman, also dead, is bloody and frightening). A good family movie for kids 10 and up.

Great Horror/ Thriller movie
There are grisly pictures of dead-alive people. People sware out of frustration. Suicide occures. But I still have to say, this was a really good movie.

Quite scary, evan for a teen.
Quite scary, i dont really get freaked out by ghossts cuz if there real they can never hurt me. Its about a boy who has the 6th sence (The power to see ghosts and talk to them) and he meets a guy who tells him if he helps them they shall leave him alone. I have to say, if your kids are watching this movie, fast forward the bit when he wakes up and the birthday party, do you want to know why? in the party (wich comes 1st) he gets loked inside a cubord and a ghosts speaks to him like "Let me out please, i beg of you, please!" and the waking up part, one of the ghosts walk past the screen (that makkes you jump), the themornitor goes to coled it breakes,so the boy walks throgh and theres a girl who has slit wrists who shouts at him saying "WHY DIDNT YOU HELP ME SOONER, MY HUSBEND KILLED ME, HELP ME!" That evan scares me! Ok, you can let your kids watchthis, but skip thoose parts! if you want your kids to watch thoose parts, i would let them watch it at my age, 14 and up, and cover your eyes and close your ears, it gets scary, well not that scary,i have seen scaryer!

Great Pretty Much OK For 10+
What is shaping up to be M. Night Shalyman's only good film is The Sixth Sense. If you have a kid 10+ who isn't scared easily the the Sixth Sense is perfectly fine.

Very suspenceful!!!!!!!!!!
It was very creepy I don't want to say much more because if you see it which you should I don't want to ruin it for you. However if you let a child watch it you should be careful that they are mature and don't scare easy. Its very creepy but very awsome!! watch it ASAP

Awkward but awesome
Good movie, but very strange. It's original but weird. Even though I say all this I still loved it. This is a movie that is sure to become a classic as is great for the thrill seeking viewer.

Amazing!!!
I loved this movie!!! It keeps you entertained the entire time. Unfortunately it wasn't scary at all like it was supposed to be but it had a great cast and plot and great acting, very good. If you are nervous about letting your kids see this I have to tips: 1. Don't be 2. After the movie ask your children this question: do you think the boy knew what Malcom didn't know about himself or do you think he thought he was a normal person? But what ever you do DON'T tell them the ending!!! It ruins the entire movie for them. Anyway see it!!!!!!!
