I love this movie, its really cool , there are some scary parts in the movie but its only on thje people that the boy is seeing. It is not the scariest movie ever, but it is very cool to see in the end... its very suprising and u should definatly watch it!!!! , its really good... in the end ur going to be amazing and be like OMGG
I saw some of this movie on tv and i thought it was pretty good. what i mean is that it was pretty good for your typical horror film. I thought it was very original, but not very scary. But remember ive only seen part of it so maybe i missed something big!
I loved this movie!!! It keeps you entertained the entire time. Unfortunately it wasn't scary at all like it was supposed to be but it had a great cast and plot and great acting, very good. If you are nervous about letting your kids see this I have to tips:
1. Don't be
2. After the movie ask your children this question: do you think the boy knew what Malcom didn't know about himself or do you think he thought he was a normal person? But what ever you do DON'T tell them the ending!!! It ruins the entire movie for them. Anyway see it!!!!!!!
This is the first movie to actually take me by surprise. Everytime you were given a chance to figure it out, it changed and didn't give you the opportunity to get it.
I had to watch it again to see how it was so perfect. I have to say this is, by far, one of the best movies, ever.
Some of the effects aren't for younger children, so know your child and warn them ahead of time that what they are seeing is not real.
Meaningful violence, not gratuitous; deep, real issues evoked.
The realistic gore of a killed bicyclist stayed with me years after. -maybe because of a friend getting hit by a car. This is like those drivers education films that show real accidents; for a purpose, not gratuitous or shoot-em-up fake. And provocative for a wider variety of reasons. A couple scenes show someone with malevolent intent; but the 3 main characters show caring compassion throughout. Worth talking about it and seeing twice due to the ending and the thought provoking issues.
I'm twelve on my Mom's account. I saw this movie in third grade, and I was not so scared. It was only hard for me when the little girl was poisoned. My mom did warn me about certain parts, which made it less scary. So, if you are going to watch this with a younger kid, be sure you have already seen it so that you can cover his/her eyes if they cant handle some parts. I did go to bed with a creepy feeling, but I'm twelve now, and I want to see it again, when I can really understand what happens. It is defiantly a good movie for a mature 10-11 year old who can handle it.
This is an alright movie, though rather scary. I would only recommend it for mature teens. This is a masterfully made movie, however, though I wouldn't want to see it more then once.
This was a great movie, but we do unfortunately see a nude woman in a shower, so it is fairly foggy. The movie starts with the main character drunk, but nothing bad. Several swear words. Some disturbing images. BUT A VERY GOOD, EXCITING MOVIE!!!
Good movie, probably the best ending I've ever seen
This was a pretty good movie. There are many jump-out surprises, and some of the ghosts you see have bloody wounds. There are repeated scenes of a shooting and a nearly off screen suicide. There is a little swearing (maybe 3 or 4 s**t's). I wasn't scared (I even fell asleep in the middle of the movie), however I don't find movies scary. I would recommend this for maybe 11 year olds or a 10 year old, however parents should watch it with them if their kids are easily scared.
I love the movie and my 9 year old loved it too. The thing I do when my kids want to watch a scary movie is that we watch the behind the scenes stuff first so they know it is not real and no one gets hurt that it is all pretend.
I have to say I hadn't thought about letting my kids see this but they have seen refernces too it in other movies so my husband rented it. There are some really grisly scenes that we had to cover their eyes for but all in all they did enjoy the suspence and thriller part of the movie. I love watching movies with my kids because it opens up a dialect. One it gets them using their critical thinking but it also helps them reflect on loved ones we have recently lost.
MUST SEE!!! Preteens aren't given enough credit...they can absorb material better than parents think; they've seen & heard much worse @ school, I'm sure. At least this way YOU can interpret what they see in an open, positive manner 8-)
The film is diamond in a sea of cubic zirconium. It is rare that I see a film that I haven't figured out 1/3 of the way through, but this film blew me away when the reality of whats happening is finally revealed. Parents, guidance and open dialogue is the key, as always.
