This is a good movie to watch when your bored. But parents beware, this movie contains a lot of violence, drinking and very scary images. There also a few bad words. I think teens will enjoy this movie more than adults and children of course.
Great action but terrible dialogue make Spidey mediocre at best
Spider-man becomes the ultimate jerk in so and so superhero flick. The action scenes are good but the movie is very depressing at points. I have to say while it is a decent film it does have questionable dialogue and some of the most uneccessary scenes I've ever scene. I do think they handled Venom in the worst way possible but it was still a good movie.
great for preteens and families looking for a good movie
I know I love it! Also we shouldn't forget there won't be a spiderman 4 because the series is starting all over so this is the last one. Good messages like friends will always be there for you in the end and to appreciate what you have while you still have it. The problems are occasional bad words and violence.
It's not horrible, but it's bad compared to the first two. It's violent, but not very violent (it's mild for a PG-13); basic comic-book style violence. There's some kissing, language, and drinking. It's an okay film.
A very good but sad ending to a great series. It is a little more violent than the other movies. A great movie though. Peter is affected by something and it makes him cocky and arrogant, and he gets really jerky.
I'm watching it right now and it's a lot of sexiness, if you think about it. It's a good story at least. The language is also bad and there's a bar-fighting scene. Peter also acts evil and bad. I don't think there is a positive role model in this movie. There's also another scary scene when Peter struggles to get off the suit and instead it turns his rival into the same thing.
Well I LOVED the first two films but.... This one just, sucked. This barely had ANYTHING to do with the first two. I did like some of the plot though, if you want to watch it go ahead.
I loved this movie. But some scens of violence and action.Mild Language, some drug use, and brief mild sexual content and a very harsh intense fight scene(Peter Vs Harry)
I have to give my honest opinion that I don't agree with many of this site's outlook on positive messages. I think it is greatly overlooking this film's messages.
The most prominent theme associated with the third installment of the Spider Man movies is free will and revenge. It makes it very clear through a few characters what happens when they choose not to forgive those who have done them wrong. In my opinion, it makes it very clear through dialogue and the consequences of having hatred and a vengeful heart. It can be a great way for parents to teach kids to forgive others, especially when we cannot be the judge of others' hearts. For example, Peter initially becomes enraged when he learns that Flint Marko is the one who killed his Uncle Ben. Only in the end does he realize that it was an accident and learns his true motives. Unlike a regular thief looking to steal money for personal gain, Marko continually reaffirms that he's not a bad person. He also teaches a lesson though through his actions. He has a choice, and Peter's Uncle Ben tried to help him to realize that. Although his actions of stealing may not be justified completely, he had only done everything he did to save his daughter's life.
Another good lesson that's shown is putting others before yourself. After talking with his Aunt May, Peter realized he wasn't ready to propose to Mary Jane when he ended up letting the power and aggression of the suit influence his choices and he ended up hurting her. Aunt May also teaches him that we should not judge whether someone deserves to live or die, or just in general, we should not judge others when we can't completely understand them.
Now, as for violence. There's nothing too bad for children, but not young children. There is blood from stab wounds and such, and there are explosions. There are a few characters that die in the end though.
The only suggestive things I can thing of are perhaps some kissing and one part where bad influenced Peter dances a bit suggestively with Gwen.
There are a few instances of profanity used. Otherwise, it's not too bad.
The Spider Man series is of course going to have merchandise and the such as it originated as a comic book series I believe.
The only alcohol mentioned I think is when Peter wants to propose to Mary Jane by putting a ring in her wine glass.
As for the movie, I really enjoyed it. I personally like movies with deep themes, so I did really like that aspect. The action scenes though are good too, and I thought it was at least as good as the 2nd movie myself.
I don't care if the critics say this isn't as good as the other two films. This is my favorite film in the Spider-Man series. I heard that it remains to date the third most expensive film of all time, surpassed only by Pirates of the Carribbean: At World's End at #1 and Tangled at #2, and indeed the action is much more jarring and scary than in the previous films. But on the plus side, there is less romance. For more downsides, there are less positive messages/role models, and Harry gets drunk at one point. But getting back to the quality of this movie, the plot is better, the villains are scarier, and it incorperates some classic Raimi horror themes that he took a long and unnecessary break from. This is more mature than films 1 and 2, so it might be iffy for tweens, but older kids will be highly pleased. Five stars!
Still action-packed and not violent. But, story falls short of the previous two. Acting isn't as good as the first two and the script is only so-so. Spider-Man 3 generally succeeds as a film worth watching.
