Spongebob Squarepants: Fear of a Krabby Patty

What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Alex Orner

Joined by his two friends, Mr. Krabby and Patrick, SpongeBob SquarePants engage in goofy underwater adventures. SpongeBob is a quirky sponge who takes pride in being a fry cook. His boss is a frugal lobster named Mr. Krabby. Patrick is SpongeBob's aloof best friend. SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: FEAR OF KRABBY PATTY is formatted into five separate episodes plus three bonus episodes. Each story line is different, yet all revolve around SpongeBob and his friends. Much of the plot involves deception, but always ends favorably for the good guys. The pace is very fast and is jam packed with jokes.

Is It Any Good?

With an almost cult like following, Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants dominates children's programming. The bright cartoon graphics are topnotch. The humor mimics 90's icons Ren & Stimpy, but targets a younger audience. In SpongeBob SquarePants: Fear of a Krabby Patty plots and visuals move quickly making it confusing for preschoolers.
