this movie is really good, with several positive messages... plankton steals king neptune's crown and sends it to shell city, and plankton steals the krabby patty formula (the very first time) to make krabby patties of his own, there are name calling such as mr krabs calls spongebob "a kid", and theres the other language such as "butt", "stupid", "idiot", "shut up", and "dumb" and a one inappropriate remark "your hot". patrick calls mindy the mermaid "pretty" and "hot", and also patrick is shown completetly naked and it shows his butt mostly and spongebob is shown in his underwear (but mostly naked once), even mr krabs was on fire and naked mostly... and i didn't realize why characters get naked in this movie or a TV show mostly... and there are comic violence are seen btw... babies, kids, teens, and adults will watch this movie as much as the TV show also!

Great Movie!It's just really great, though it's not my favorite.I love this movie, it could have some crude humor, but it's all played for laughs.King Neptune says D--n one time and there's one use of fr--king in the Goofy Goober Rock Song, but they're not very noticeable.I used to watch this movie when I was little, but I had no idea that Spongebob and Patrick were drunk, all because of ice cream.I didn't catch that part, and I didn't know about Drinking and stuff.To make this review short, a Great movie, Watch It!And this is sure to amuse Spongebob fans.

Patrick and Spongebob are good role models, they never give up. Well actually, they did, but Princess Mindy convinced them that they were men. (Lied to them, used her "Mermaid Magic" to give them mustaches, which were actually just seaweed.) Dennis is a hitman that was hired to kill Spongebob and Patrick. He tried to make Spongebob commit suicide when they were on David Hasselhoff (They found Neptune's crown, David Hasselhoff as himself gives them a ride to Bikini Bottom. Dennis temporarily catches up to Spongebob and Patrick. Dennis tries to convince Spongebob that he -Dennis- always get's what he wants, and tells Spongebob "Give it up, Kid." and Spongebob looks down at the water. He yells "NEVER!" and jumps onto David's other leg.) Also, Spongebob and Patrick get drunk on ice cream, Spongebob yells at Mr.Krabs for not making HIM the manager, and for making Squidward the manager of the Krusty Krab 2 instead. Spongebob and Patrick go to a bar, and they almost get beat up, but instead someone else gets beat up because the other person sung the Goofy Goober theme song. When Spongebob was losing confedence, and he dies (temporarily) I started crying. The end of the movie is great! Spongebob sings the Goofy Goober theme song rock style, and he becomes the manager of the Krusty Krab 2. One more thing: There was, in fact, the word 'damning'. Grow up people! The movie was NOT filled with cuss words.

I thought this movie was hilarious. Young kids will not understand most of the "inappropriate" jokes (like when he is drunk... ON ICE CREAM. If your kid is old enough to understand what being drunk is, he probably knows it's a JOKE), if you're worried about that. Some characters smoke and drink beer, but the whole point of the movie is to be proud to be a kid and not grow up too quickly. No cursing, just some insults (i'm sure they've heard worse). In one part of the movie Sponge Bob says "freakin'" but in a song, where i could barely understand what he was saying (I only realized he said that because I had the subtitles on). And someone who said it wasn't for TWEENS???? U serious?? And when spongebob drops his pants, he is just a yellow square sponge. And when patrick is "naked" its just his butt, which they show on every other Spongebob Squarepants episode. Nothing else. As far as the violence goes, it's just a bunch of cartoon monsters chasing them in a comedic way. No one gets hurt. In fact, they end up dancing and singing together. Anyone can watch it!!!

It's not often that movies based off of cartoons or television shows in general hit the theaters. Since it's debut in 1999, SpongeBob has gained stardom worldwide and has formed a massive cult following. Who would've known the little, yellow dude would get a feature film? The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is enjoyable and hilarious for the whole family. There are, however, brief uses of the word "d*mn" by King Neptune and "freaking" said once in the Goofy Goober Rock song, but both are hardly noticeable and the rest of the movie is, like CSM said, mild schoolyard language. SpongeBob and Patrick are both good role models in this movie because they try to return Neptune's crown and save their friend, Mr. Krabs, from peril, even though they were told they could never do it. The movie teaches that anyone, even a "kid", can accomplish something good in the end and that you shouldn't give up just because people say so. In the end, this was a great movie and was worth watching, especially if you're a long-time SpongeBob fan, like me.
