Very shaken up by this, but still good

Let me state this first; it's a good movie, and it really has opened my eyes on how cruel the world can be sometimes. As a female myself, and having a constant fear of being kidnapped, this movie was a bit scarring. The movie is about this girl, Kim, who lies to her overprotective father, and goes with her friend, Amanda, to France. They get into a taxi with a stranger, who then sends these guys to kidnap them. They get injected with drugs, so they won't remember anything, I assume. Amanda ends up overdosing and dies, which was the part that got me. I have no clue why it bothered me so much, but that image of her with all of her veins popping out and stuff will haunt my dreams for the next 6 years. Anyway, Kim is sent off to some auction, where she is sold to a rich guy with a boat for prostitution purposes. Kim's father has been hot on the kidnapper's trail the whole time, where a fight ensues on the boat. Eventually, it's all a happy ending (not for Amanda or her parents), and Kim is reunited with her father.

Creepy...

Well, this is what sadly sometimes happens. Kids are getting more mature nowadays, so I think it is only right they should know what's going on in their world, even if it is sad. It IS scary, so kids, watch it with someone older than you. At first it is a little boring, but it gets really good.

A great movie.

Taken is an excellent action thriller starring Liam Neeson as a ex spy and Maggie Grace as his daughter who gets kidnapped. Honestly, it surprises me that this isn’t an R rated movie because the reason she is kidnapped is rather dark, along with the situation and the violence. Especially considering the MPAA almost rated Alien 3 PG-13, and that’s the most violent of an already violent series. It is definitely worth a watch, however, I suggest that you be 13 or up before viewing.

Violent and fun but not for kids

Very good action thriller movie but can be very disturbing at times. Very violent situations such as torture and sex trafficking but nothing gory. A tween or teen that has watched action movies or knows about these topics can easily watch it.Not for young children.
