Great movie but there is a flashback sex scene
This is a great movie. My 13 year old and I enjoyed it. It is a bit violent and intense at times. The only uncomfortable parts to watch were a flashback of a sexual scene and a couple of bloody hospital surgery scenes.

Exciting movie
I showed this to my 14-year-old who really liked it. An exciting bus crash / train wreck sequence near the beginning. A few sexy scenes between husband and wife — she leaves clothes strewn up the stairs to entice him, and some brief in-bed scenes of shoulders/camisole and up only, with loving kisses, also if I’m remembering right she is on top of him. But given that most kids this age have unfortunately seen porn already, it’s a good counter to that, being within a deeply loving relationship. Also, some violence as she is attacked and murdered. Still, I think appropriate for age 14 and up. A good amount of humor in it, too.

Great but intense
This is a spectacular but VERY intense movie. In the beginning there are numerous, disturbing flashbacks to a very violent murder. There is a very bad bus accident with plenty of blood shown, and there are several bloody fight scenes. As far as sexual content goes, Richard has a definitely suggestive dream about his wife, although nothing explicit is shown. Highly under-clad women are shown briefly at a party. The swearing is really more than just "a few mild expletives", with countless instances of the s-word, one (although hardly noticeable) use of f***, several uses of d***, and one prominent use of SOB. All these negative elements aside, however, it really is a great movie with a positive message. The good guys win in the end and the bad guys are defeated, and all throughout the two main characters, Richard and Sam, are honorable and gentleman-like. However, this is a very intense movie, and I would definitely not recommend it for anyone under 14, MAYBE 13 at the very youngest.

Plenty of Teaching Potential
I showed my students this film for several reasons. Right now my students are reading the IROBOT collection of short stories, along with some prequel fan fiction (IROBOT: TO OBEY) based on the original Asimov collection . I showed this film because I wanted my students to do a cross-genre comparison (action vs sci-fi) between the two narratives and I knew they would get sucked in by the action and the plot. The students loved the film and willingly completed an in depth plot and character comparison. Possibly in the future I may utilize the film in Social Studies when we are discussing Supreme Court rulings, the concept of precedent, and wrongful conviction. This could lead in all sorts of directions including a discussion about flaws in our justice system, corporate greed, pharmaceutical research, etc ...So much potential here!
*Parents should be aware that there is a mildly suggestive scene when the main character is remembering the good times with his wife.

Profanity early on
For the first half of the movie the characters are surprised by the fugitives maneuvers and exclaim sh*t a lot. Lots of Sh*t's and BullSh*ts for the first half of the move.

Class-A action thriller!
Parents should know that this is a perfectly fine Sunday afternoon movie to watch with their kids, with a bag of popcorn close on hand. Harrison Ford and especially Tommy Lee Jones, who I've never seen have so much fun with a role since Two-Face, are great in "The Fugitive." While at times you have to suspend belief to compute that Kimble escaped the law so often, just remember its a great example of Hollywood escapism at its finest, with a dynamic score, really solid acting and some really funny one-liners, mostly coming from Jones.

The theme, violence, language and bloody images are not suitable for kids under 13.
The movie has stabbings, gunfire, and other violence. S**t is used a couple times, along with b---h, and ba---rd.
