This movie is really good!

IDK what your talking about csm the movie is great. This movie has fist fights and kicking. Dre get's physically bullied by people and gets a black eye. In the tournament his leg is shown bruised up very badly and in one scene dumps dirty water on the bullies. Hell and damn are used and other insults are thrown. This is probably one of my favorite movies and you should watch it( oh BTW forgot to mention the bullies sensie is very mean and slaps his own student and tells the bully to break his leg).

Better than the first!

This remake has more depth, better acting, better aesthetics/action, and far lighter fare than the original!

Great movie that is missing a little bit of logic

How old was Daniel Larusso? 15 and 16, right? Well, this main character is only 12, he already has a girlfriend, and he is getting beaten up worst than Daniel. The story is super interesting, however he is living a little to much like a high schooler. The bully in this movie could probably beat up Johnny Lawrence from the old karate kid. It's also interesting how the main character goes from being a bully victim to a karate prodigy. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes karate.

just watch the original

this is only an ok remake and the original totally outclasses it. the entire fim is for some reason based in china (strange) so just watch the original as this one has a basically different story.

THE BEST MOVIE OF LAST DECADE!!!

This movie is s good it teaches you if you ever get thrown down you could stand back up and fight! In one scene Dre said ass but it was just a few times in a scene and mister Han was drunk in one scene too and if you know your 9 year old doesn't follow other people and they're strong you can le them watch this.

It could be better

I watched this movie with my babysitter. Look, I think it is a great movie and teaches people that you pick yourself up even though you want to quit. BUT. There's more. So, There are some flaws.. 1. Meiying and Dre do like each other and see each other at the Qi Xi festival (Chinese Valentine's Day) and go behind the projector and see a Chinese love story performed by puppets. The puppets "get close to each other" and eventually Dre and Meiying get close to each other and.. you know.. 2. The fights are pretty violentand involve kicking, punching, throwing each other to the ground head first, and shoving which results in scars which show blood, pain and a broken bone when you get closer to the end. 3. Dre doesn't listen to his mom and tells him about his problems at all in the movie. He throws his jacket on the ground and ignores his mom when she asks him about his scars. 4. Despite Dre looking about ten, twelve-ish, he says the "a-word" like 3 times until Mr. Han tells him to stop. 5. Master Li threatens Mr. Han and Dre with "If he does not practice when it's time for the tournament, I promise I will hurt him and you." I was a bit uncomfortable with my younger sister watching this with us because she was covering her eyes a lot. If you are a sensitive 10 year old or 9 year old, Maybe you should wait a bit more because I was uncomftarble too.
