Not as bad as everyone says.

A lot of people say this movie isn't any good, but I personally think that is unfair. Sure some parts of the plot don't make much sense and the ending leaves a little to be desired, but all in all it is definitely a good reboot. Content wise, there isn't much to worry about in the form of inappropriate content and language. But their is a lot of violence and possibly scary images. Their is a small bit of blood in a few scenes but it isn't that bad. In one scene, a plane is attacked by a swarm of crows, the crows break through the windshield, stabbing the pilots. Some of the crows splatter on the windows, streaking it with blood. In another possibly scary scene, the mangled mummy comes to life and it looks like she may have stabbed someone in the head but it is very dark and hard to see. A lot of guns are fired throughout this movie. There is a lot of imagery that may scare younger viewers. From hordes of undead zombies, swarms of rats and spiders, a grotesque mummy who sucks the life from her victims, and an undead friend who haunts the main character, this movie lacks nothing in scary images. Overall though, if your kids can handle a mild bit of blood and some mummies, they should be fine. This is a good movie that is a great watch on a dark and stormy night.

I'd give 4 stars if there was a sequel

This movie has a few jump scares, some violence but it wasn't as scary as I thought. I would say it is an action/thriller/horror movie. There was a little bit of nudity. I enjoyed the humour, jumpscares and thrills. I would like to see a second movie though with that unsatisfying ending! It isn’t historically accurate but it gives you a brief idea of what Ancient Egypt was like and the characters show courage and one character develops by becoming less selfish. The main character makes some pretty bad choices.

Loved it!! I don't understand, why all the hate? It was a great action thriller, and I would recommend to 13+. Maybe 12+.

New style but isn't very good.

I'm gonna keep this review short, if you want to watch the mummy, watch the Brendan Fraser version. This movie is too dark and too boring.

Tom cruise stars in action-packed classic monster movie reboot

Parents need to know that The Mummy (2017) is a reboot based of the original classic (1999) version and it’s sequels, but this is not connected to those films and is it’s own film, but this is part of The Dark Universe from Universal which will be a universe of classic monster movies reboots. There is a lot of action violence with blood and intense confrontations and violent frightening images, gunfire, knives, fighting, car crashes, planes crashes, a flock of birds break a plane window and kill a few people, talk about sacrificing life, and frightening zombie-like creatures which form gruesomely by kissing another human and turning them to a disturbing zombie and they soon start coming in hordes, also people are possessed by not only zombies, also the mummy’s back story is violent and mature that she killed her dad, and other family members and tried to kill her husband but part of the story. Some suggestive comments and some partial nudity from shadows which is sadly part of the story ewww. Some infrequent language including s**t, b***h, a**, damn and hell. But this movie does drop some funny jokes in between and Tom cruise stars in this action packed adventure which might be a bit scary for younger kids. My MPAA Rating would be: PG-13 For Intense sequences of frightening action violence including disturbing/scary imagery, some language and suggestive comments, some partial nudity

THE MUMMY (2017)

This scary horror movie about a female mummy is kinda scary. This movie follows a group of people getting cursed by a mummy. I don’t remember that much about this movie but I would recommend this to horror movie lovers.

GREAT

THE MUMMY had some language and a bit of scariness. The main thing parents will need to know about is the amount of violence which isn't over-the-top, but there is some scenes where blood splatters. I thought THE MUMMY was great.
