Beautiful music, violence in excellent Michael Bay action.

The rock is one of the best Nicholas cage movies of all time!

Great movie with an amazing cast. The rock follows fbi worker Stanley Goodspeed (nick cage) as he tries to stop Gen. Hummel (Ed Harris) from releasing chemical gas bombs into San Francisco from Alcatraz. To do this he must recruit the only man to have ever escaped (Sean Connery). Pretty bad language with several f*cks and motherf*ckers in every scene. Violence is mainly explosions and shooting, with one scene where a man is dangling off a building. Sexual stuff is one non nude scene (but your imagination doesn’t have to be good to know what’s going on) and a porno magazine that is referred to as “kinky”. Besides that there is some smoking, and a scene where a man dies to the gas but besides that great movie. I watched it when I was 13 and didn’t think I should have been allowed, i would say 13 if you skip the sex scene but 15 if you leave it in.

Michael bay gets too much hate!

This is close to my favorite Michael Bay movie. This is one of the the best action movies that has been produced.

coincidence or necessity...

both me and my sister watched this film at the age of 12 and both of us had a lengthy discussion about human rights since biblical times to the Geneva convention violence and sex occurs frequently . wouldn't recommend for anyone not wanting to discuss human rights issues.

11+ is OK. Very good movie

Graphic violence, sometimes dramatized to an extent. The average amount of swearing for the movie genre, f--k, s--t, c--k, etc. A fully clothed sex scene, talk of woman being pregnant before marriage. Some drinking.

Thumbs up

I think the Rock is a really good Nicholas Cage film, I love the Acting (Sean Connery, Ed Harris and Nicholas Cage) and story, Although it’s voilent with chemical burning, swearing and a sex scene definitely not for kids under AT LEAST 13.

Pretty Good

Honestly its pretty funny, i dont care about language and about sex scenes, the film is pretty amazing. The actors were cool. Good messages! One thing that did bother me throughout this film is that the deaths are toooo detailed. Which was not something i liked, otherwise i really recommend this film its pretty epic

Really Good Movie, just not for young kids

Not really sure if there is a great message in this movie, or great role models, but definitely a fun movie. Lots, and lots of graphic violence. One sex scene, no nudity, but not hidden in any way. Lots, lots, and lots of swearing. Great movie, not suitable for younger audiences.
