What a terrible assault to the senses.
I have never been more disgusted with a movie in my life. Our family enjoyed the first Transformers so we blindly assumed this one would be along the same lines. What an assault to the senses it turned out to be. Our family walked out after just 30 minutes in the theatre. Even the theatre manager agreed it was bad and gave us free tickets to see a more suitable movie. The language was beyond offensive, the sexual references and innuendos were disgusting. What a disappointment all around. Our children are 15 and 8 and it was sooooo not suitable for them. Sheesh...it wasn't suitable for me as a 38 year old!! I think this movie is a testament to the declining moral conscience of society (those who think its a wonderful movie) and really shows the untrustworthiness of those who would produce such a show and market it for children. My heart goes out to the many young children whose parents didn't get up and leave during this terrible, terrible show. Shame on you!

Wow. (And Not in a Good Way.)
Look up top. Every single category of innapropriate content is highlighted. There are no positives. Not only is this movie endlessly crude, vulgar, and oftentimes morally reprehensible, it is not entertaining in any way, shape or form. I enjoyed the first TRANSFORMERS film immensely. I liked the creativity, bold action, and dead-on comedy. This sequel, however, misses the mark completely. It lacks everything that made the first movie good. When evenyour lead actor says that he hates the movie, then you know something is wrong. In addition to being poorly made, this movie is way unsuitable for its target audience. I don't think I need to talk about the constant machine/gun/explosion violence, because you already expect that. The main problem in this movie is the endless stream of vulgarity. Every Transformer in this movie talks, and they cuss up a storm. I couldn't even count the times I heard "b***h up your punk a*s", or something similar. The "f" word is used twice (once partially spoken), and every other profanity in the book is used frequently, including "p**sy" and slang terms for male genitals. There is a near-constant flow of sexual humor that ranges from nude posters on walls (topless women) to more graphic stuff. Sam's mother, while high off of marijuana, tells strangers that she overheard him climaxing (it's not made clear whether she means intercourse or masturbation). We see two dogs having sex, and amale transformer furiously thrusts against Mikaela's leg with moans of pleasure. A Decepticon in human disguise comes on to Sam and slams him onto a bed while making comments like "we're good in bed". A man talks about having the same woman/robot in a wet dream. College kids talk about sucking "the sack", and a Transformer has giant, swinging metal testicles (refered to assuch). A man pulls down his pants and boxers in a museum as a distraction(we don't see anything), and we see a man's bare buttocks in a jock strap. There are also crude references to bodily functions like excretion andejaculation. There are lots of car product placements, and lots of people get drunk/high at college (including a parental figure). Two Transformersare an extremely offensive mimicry of African-American culture, and whatever positive messages are in the movie are more than obscured by the vulgarity.

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! The first Transformer movie is my daughter's all tiem favorite movie. This second one is totally different and AWFUL! So unlike the first one. Every cuss word in the book - I was Horrified and offended! Sexual situations and inuendoes throughout, including the opening scene, which looked like a Playboy spread of Megan Fox on a motorcycle. We should have walked out then. My two daughters and I all admitted we thought about walking out of it-wish we had. It is NOTHING LIKE THE FIRST ONE! If you have morals, don't go see it! For age 17 and up, only! I'm not old enough, and I'm in my 40's!

I wish my tween hadn't seen it until he was older
Positives: Sam risks his own life to resurrect his robot friend. He is also pressured to cheat on his girlfriend, but he tries to fight off the advances. Negatives: way too much filthy language, sexual innuendos, too much skin (from both sexes), and drug use.

NOT A KIDS MOVIE..
Although Transformer 2 in conjunction with Hasbro toys, commonly market there brands to kids 10 and under (ie Kids meal toys, action figures for ages 3+) This is not a kids movie. The First Transformers movie portrayed Robots who would not kill humans and who had compassion for mankind. It also had limited adult language and adult situations. This movie however did not. It was full of senseless destruction, strong sexual innuendos and painted President Obama as the one who made the “wrong” decision. But I made the wrong decision by taking my family to see this movie.

Pass it up
Not the worst movie of the summer, but don't waist your time. It just disappointing to me that they rely so much on special effects and not story. I expected a lot more out of a Transformers movie (which isn't much). Now, this movie is jammed packed with violence, language, inappropriate sexual roll models (Megan Fox who seems to take every chance she gets to show herself off), and a lot of commercialism. This movie has a ton of STRONG language, from the A word to the F word. Megan Fox is in this movie for one reason, to be a sex symbol, which some of the shots in this movie for this reason makes it anything but a kids film. Moreover, this film is one of the most commercialized films I have ever seen. Overall, this film should be passed up at all costs, 1.5 out of 5

A movie that is a waste of your time and money!!!
My wife and I have five kids from age 12 and under. This is a horrible movie. The language and the sexual content is not for young viewers. There are just to many hidden negative messages for young viewers. Granted I did not make it through the whole. The movie is just horrible from the start. And I couldn't waste anymore of my time. I'm grateful I previewed the movie before allowing my kids to see it.

Fun, but not as good as the first
I'll admit i had fun going to see the movie but i just thought this one was really dumb compared to the first. BUT NOT BAD! It is also more mature than the 1st one with stronger language including the F-word, frequant sexual jokes some which are rather mature for a PG-13 movie. There is also breif drug use which some parents should be aware about. The movie it'self felt a bit longer than it needed to be also. The special effects where really good and the fight scenes were really crazy too but not too violent. But as i said before i did feel that some parts where unnessecary for example: One of the transformers had balls. Funny but i have to admit really stupid. PARENTS: THIS IS NOT A MOVIE FOR KIDS UNDER 13!!! just because its based of kids toy's dosent meen it's for kids. In my opinon, if you go with a group of friends to a matinee show than you'll have fun, but if your going to see it alone or with your family (which i dont reccomend you do) just wait for the Blu-Ray to come out. I still think that UP is the best summer movie out there.

Not for kids at all iffy for adults as an adult I wouldn't see it (if I only I had known earlier).
We walked out and I wish we had earlier. I kept thinking it's a kids show it has to get better but it kept getting worse. I took my 15 year old and 8 year old. and couldn't believe I let them see what I did. This was supposed to be a kids movie, it is soooo NOT!!! From the begining it was non stop sexual references and swearing. The vailed attempt to disguise some(but not even close to all) of the language was pathetic (eg. the roomates websites name which was repeated often in a few minutes was disgusting). Kids aren't stupid they know what they are meaning. Now as an adult who grew up playing with and watching transformers and who happily got my sons into it. I can't believe this is the way they choose to take the story. It was ridiculas. True transformer fans will hate this movie. As a parent at least I walked out with my family so that my sons realize that the actions and attitudes portrayed in this movie are degrading and insulting and definately not something to be imitated. As childern inevitably do. I am shocked that some people actually think this is entertaining, it's not it's INSULTING!!! Alas though it is a true statement of the times. I'm sorry I spent my money on it as it will only give Dreamworks and Paramount $30 more of a reason to continue making this garbage.

Seriously, parents & kids - don't bother
I read thru some of the reviews of this movie and wish I was one to have left the theater. I anxiously awaited this release because I loved the first movie. I was sorely disappointed. The potty-mouth use was inexcusable. From what I saw, auto-bots that come to earth get more stupid and have to curse and treat people and other auto-bots nastily. I don't care about product placement - whatever you know? But the language, the sexual references, bullying and a whole lot of human peril and death put me out. Wish I had waited for the review. Now I have to tell my friend that I can't take her because it would go against my conscience.

Don't bother wasting your time or money
Hated it; walked out. Way, way too long. Boring. Screaming, yelling, violence, no story line, unbelievably stupid. Transformations could be considered cool by kids - but 150 minutes of them is overkill.

Please do not waste your money on this garbage. This is another example of using one movie to reel in viewers (kids), and then using the sequel to expose young and older viewers to offensive material. Women are objectified throughout, the mother doesn't know what marijuana looks like (right!), homosexual references, images of oral sex, need I go on. Don't support movies that target kids but contain adult content. Go see UP- fabulous movie for all ages.

Talk about a massive disappointment. We saw the first TF movie on the big screen and own it in our home collection. When this one came out we were very excited to see what the Robots in Disguise were up to. While I realize the movie is rated PG-13 it is so heavily marketed to the kids who play with the toys. The sex and the language were such an offense to the fanbase. Really - who was this film intended for ? As an old-school TF fan, I didn't enjoy the film. As a parent, I squirmed my way through it. Sadly, my dollars will somehow reinforce that this is the sort of film that Hollywood should make when it comes time to talk about the third movie. Battling robots is one thing. Some sexualized fembot crawling all over the protagonist... Robots and humans dropping language bombs left and right... Really, Michael Bay - thanks for an uncomfortable evening.

I am SOOooo conflicted about this movie. I really enjoyed it! BUT I'm 33 years older than my oldest girl, and there are two chances my kids will see this: a Fat chance and a Slim chance. Translate that as no chance, really. There are simply too many things that I cannot accept as part of my children's language, focus, behaviour, moral development, well, the list can go on. That being said, and without dropping hints that would spoil the show, there are also many Positive elements to be found. The trouble is, you have to search for them, and with a (typically) wiser adult's viewpoint. There WILL be kids out there who get it and can sift through the misdirecting baleful elements, and there are probably adults who are susceptible to some of the negative parts - that's the way we are made up as a society, of course. And I recognise and acknowledge that by and large kids today are cagier, more aware, and in so many ways tougher today than they should have to be. So, what can I say, if you are going to let your "tweens" see the show, See It With Them and debrief after! Or better yet, take it in yourself and then decide. Good Luck, and hope this helps!

Hate it. Was totally uncomfortable watching it with my 10 year old son. Husband thought it would be ok, it wasn't! When there wasn't cursing and violence, there was inappropriate sexual behavior. Profanity does not enhance the movie in any way. I'll never understand it.

Perfect for older teens and adults, not for children
As an adult, I think the movie was pretty action packed and exciting. Although, it was too long. For children (I have a 7 year old) I was extremely disappointed at the way it portrayed women, the language was definitely not good and it was too violent although there was no blood. I would say this movie is good as far as action goes for older teens and adults. Definitely not for children...

C'mon People. It's Transformers. Don't pay attention to the PG-13 all that much.
It's a great summer blockbuster movie, but a very flawed one.

Toy movie at PG-13?
Why are all the movies for 9 year old boys PG-13??? It is crazy. All the comic book movies, transformers, GI-Joe... all PG-13? Really stinks to have all these movies for my son, that I can't take him too. And it is funny, the point of these movies is to sell toys, and then they make them so the kids can't even see them.

Im sorry but the excuses I have heard on another website "if you go into any HS they are all saying these slang words" like it is OK cause they are all doing it.....has your mother not taught you anything!!! I am for sure not spending the $$$ on this movie, which is a shame because my kids LOVE Transformers....which is there age market.....duh! reason begin because of the sexual content, language, drug use, and over the top violence. I hope that in the future they will start realizing that to better or future adults it starts with not only what there parents teach them but what they watch. Such a shame.

Definitely worse than PG-13, but not quite R.
While Transformers did show good role models and strong characters, I was shocked as how many times they said "s--t", including the parents. They [the parents] also had weird sexual lines and did suggestive things. Violence wasn't an issue with me so much as the surprisingly often use of swear words (specifically "s--t") and drug use for a PG-13 movie.
