This is an awesome movie and our whole family loved it! Yes, there is some bad language and sexual behaviour so know your child's limits.

Not perfect for anyone.
Too much gratuitous bad language or "almost" bad language. Inappropriate sexual movements by robots and characters. This movie would've been a lot better without this foul stuff - didn't add to the story at all, what little story there was. Too much violence and mayhem without any plot as well. Very poorly done movie. It really disappointed my boy.

This was a great movie. But I agree with all the unnecessary content. That is where ClearPlay comes in. I do not work for ClearPlay but I own a clearplay player. If all families with the concerns you all expressed would support a company like this the movie industry would stop putting all the junk in otherwise really cool movies. They ruined a good thing
For those who can't imagine why today's kids love Transformers, please get real. They love them for the same reason we loved them as kids. That said, the language and sexuality in this movie was totally uncalled for. They took a great movie I would purchase for the family and uneedingly turned it into something I can't purchase now. Plus, the language and sexuality added nothing to the movie at all. A shame indeed.

Loved it!!!!
I really enjoyed this movie and although it was violent at points it wasn't gory because it was just the robots doing the fighting. They also had some humor that I got a good laugh at and some that was harmless to younger viewers because it was a double meaning they wouldn't understand.

Good movie full of robot action.
Good robot movie. It suprised me that they made a geeky TV show (no offense Transformer show fans) into an awesome action packed film. But the language is constant sh*t and the sexual humor is briefly strong witha Megan Fox body shot and mentioning master******.

ACtion-PAcked FUn
One of the best action-packed movies I have ever seen! And I'm not saying it just because I'm a Transformers fan! I'm saying it because it is an awesome movie! The computer graphics, the interaction between the humans and robots, the timing? It's just amazing how they were able to put this movie together. I, for one, am seriously obsessed with this movie cause of the nature of it! It's wonderful!

An Enticing and Action-Packed Visual Effects Extravaganza!
Having never seen the movie, TV shows, or played with the Hasbro toys, I knew absolutely nothing about the story or the characters outside of what I saw in the trailer (which was cool). I saw a tidbit of the film on a Best Buy TV and was impressed, and I watched the film with so-so expectations. I won't say that it's a masterpiece, but I'm eagerly awaiting the 2009 sequel. The back story of "the alien cube" is groanable, but the writers owe enough the the old TV shows to keep some things, and they back the alien story up with enough realistic government sub-plot to stall your groans. Shia LeBeouf is great as the lead, as is Megan Fox as his girlfriend. Jon Voight stole the show as the Secretary of Defense, but the real show is the robots. Completely computer generated, they talk (you get used to it), fight, cause big explosions, and shake up the city. The animators deserved an Oscar. Violence is the biggest issue, but none of it is graphic. Explosions, screams, fights, metal crashing, pistols, automatic firearms, and huge robotic knives. During the climax battle scene, your living room will be filled with the sounds of a full-fledged alien war. Sex is moderate, with no sex, but several innuendos and shots of scantily clad women. Language is infrequent, with some "s**ts", "d**ns", and "h*lls". Great visuals and acting. Recommended.

Practically Non-stop Violence and Lots of Vulgarity
This movie has more violence in it that any other I've come across. The kids were watching it (and I don't approve, but they're my husband's) and the living room seemed like a war zone. There is a lot of vulgarity, in various forms. It was crude and fairly sickening. Despite the toy theme, children should not see this movie. It was given a PG-13 rating so even youngs kids could go to it by themselves, instead of the R rating it deserves.

A totaly awesome movie
I have two kids, age 9 and 12, and they both were dying to see this movie. As a kid i watched the animated series, and since these days theyre reving up violence in movies, I saw it before they did. in some parts it's a little 'i wish they didnt have it' but overall its a great movie! Since its robots, they can have lots of violence with out it being gory or bloody. I give my compleete aproval, for kids 9-up. any younger and i think the parents should check it out first. =]

Awesome!
I loved this movie. I thought it was just fantastic, it surprised me. Some scenes were just plain scary. The Decepticons were evil looking and sounding. Some scenes had me frightened! There is violence, people die and the language is rough. This movie is not for small children. However, I think there is nothing wrong with having teenagers see this movie.

Uses GOD's name in vain
I think it is terrible that Hollywood makes a movie that is going to attract children and then they use GOD's name in vain. But then Hollywood blasphemes GOD's name in almost all movies now and no one thinks this is wrong.

Not great
Not being a Sci-Fi fan in general, maybe I couldn't appreciate it, but the acting was poor, the dialogue actually made me cringe, as if it had been written by some pre-pubescent high school kids whilst Hollywood's writers were on strike. Very noisy with way too much violence (even if it was only computer animated), and there were a few lines in there, e.g. "Bros before Hos" that were simply out of order. 12 or younger definitely a no-go, but if you think your child can handle the noisy violent content, then teenagers (and childish adults) might get a kick out of the action.

A very exciting and intense movie.
This was a great movie filled with edge of your seat action and intense suspense filled moments. I would say that if you're sensitive to loud noises you definitley shouldn't watch this movie. What with all it's huge explosions. Some soldiers die and lots buildings and vehicles are destroyed. But overall, this is a great movie.

Good movie!
This movie has non stop violence, but with little blood(considering they're robots). The language gets a little iffy. But for some kids they wont notice much of it. Overall it was a good movie that you don't want to miss!

This movie is not good for ANYONE
This movie is marketed for young kids, but it is definetly not appropriate. I don't recommend that ANYONE sees this movie. There is quite a lot of sexual dialogue and innuendo, which pretty much ruins the whole movie.

You either love it or you hate it
This movie is the kind that either you like it or you don't. As language goes, I've heard worse. It wasn't too bad, but it was frequent. As violence goes, there are several explosions and shooting scenes, and one man is impaled, but they hardly show it, and when a person is injured, they don't go into much detail. As sexual content goes, there are a couple of inappropriate references that i strongly believe the movie would have been much better without. If I was asked, I would say that the best role model out of this movie was Optimus Prime. Overall, I enjoyed the movie (for the most part) but if you have younger kids who want to see it, then it's your call, but I would suggest having them wait until they are older, or at least watch it first so you know in advance what your child will be seeing. Like I said, these are just suggestions. You make the call.

The Perfect Toy Based Sci-Fi Action Masterpiece.
This is the best movie ever. Honestly they couldn't have done a better job. The story was good, there was lots of humor, and action that doesn't disappoint. The special effects are incredible, and the characters each have their own special personalities. The movie is fairly long, but it's worth the 2 1/2 hours of sitting. Though this movie is based off of a children's toy, it's not a kid movie for sure. But overall, if you love Sci-Fi and Action movies, you'll love this movie.

A good movie story-wise, bad content-wise
I liked this movie a lot, just to tell you. But i had a lot of problems with it, too. For the first, it is filled with innuendoes and sexual content, with everything from ogling cameras to parent-son discussions about stuff you don't wanna hear about.(lets just say it was extremely awkward with my parents sitting right next to us and either a) not registering what was going on, or b) Thinking that we didn't get it and not making a big deal out of it) My next concern is the violence. This is a two-hour movie, and Id say the second hour is basically ONE big battle sequence. This part was really dumb, and it was pretty violent, too. Should I reitterate that this movie was directed towards CHILDREN??????????

Masterpiece by Michael Bay
This the greatest movie of 2007 and I still love it after watching it 6 times over again. For young kids the menacing robots may be scary but mature kids over the age of 10 won't be scared at all. A frightening scene in the movie might be when "Megatron" reaches out for the boy (Shia Labeouf). In my opinion Megan Fox didn't do that well but she was great in the scene when her and "Bumblebee" drove through the "war" in the city.The movie is okay for kids but the scene when the mom comes in after hearing "sounds' (transformers) was "...." for kids. Michael Bay seems to love jokes involving "sexual" things. the animation was groundbreaking was even more amazing in high definition 1080 p (BluRay). Maybe I'm a bit biased in this review as I loves the 80's transformers but nevertheless I loved the movie. This movie was great and I am still wondering how they will top this movie in Revenge of the Fallen. I accidentally double posted this review in the Transformers: Album section.

Big effects awesome, but could scare kids.
This film is really great, and the special effects are awesome. There is some sensual humor, and language, but the violence is not bloody are scary, although the last fight takes like half-an-hour.
