Good but a little Boring

The movie was good but a little bit boring. it also changed bits of the original story which made it less enjoyable, but it was still quite interesting to watch.

SNOOZEVILLE!!!!

This movie is an absolute SNOOZER!!!! Yes, it is family friendly and all but are kids really going to enjoy this movie??? Nope, they are going to hate it. I really hate this movie. It's not bad, and I'm not dissing Robert Louis Stevenson it's just that I think this movie is VERY VERY BORING!!!

An exciting movie for most audiences

The movie was entertaining, and I was extremely interested in how the story would wrap up throughout the movie. Although rated G, the movie features blood and violence not characteristic of that rating. The pirates use guns and swords to get their work done, and Jim himself is injured with a knife just before he shoots the pirate that threw it. There was a lot of drinking as well, although fitting for pirates. It was an excellent movie, but not necessarily the best for younger children.
