verrry scarrry only for older kids (or brave younger kids).
im reviewing the unrated version which gets a little worse than the regular version obviously its more like an r rated film at that point but if you believe your child is mature enough and is brave go ahead let them watch it
Perfect for the older ones, but leave the youngest at home.
Parents need to know that the Unborn is a tamed horror movie compared to most horror movies, but still isnt for kids 12 and younger, perfect for kids 13 and up.
I watched this on saturday and found it pretty mundane to be honest, it wasn't so bad but I can understand why people may be scared of it, younger kids would be terrified as dead bodies are possessed and contorted in 'disturbing' ways but it didn't really scare me at all. It was majorally predictable. Although I was glad the exorcism was Jewish and not the stereotypical roman catholic.
Lot's of twists and turns you won't expect. Perfect for late night parties or horror movie fests!
This movie scared the living crap out of me! It was awesome, with an original and creepy plot, all in all a perfectly made horror movie with less than half the blood of most horror movies. The whole twins thing that ties in to the story is very creative and attention-grabbing. The contorted bodies and possessed little kids is a nice touch too. Note to self, and everyone who wants to watch this: Do not, I repeat, do NOT watch this by yourself in an empty house at night with all of the lights off! You will scream like you've never screamed before. I did. Comments? Questions? Concerns? Email me: ogormanscommonsense at yahoo. :)
this movie was dissapointing and they stole alot of ideas from the ring such as the tape they watch and then when they are there where the tape was filmed you see flashbacks from the tape some of the content is disturbing like demon possesion back breaking head twisting and so forth plus the theme is preety innapropiate like they talk about a baby getting strangled with an abliciul cord and so forth
This movie isn't scary at all in my opinion. But It would Probably scare young viewers. Not very gory I expected it to be a lot more scarier then it turned out to be so it was kind of a let down after I saw it.
Bottom Line: The unborn is crap no matter which way you look at it.
The unborn is terrible and repulsive in every way. It fails on every opportunity and everything is just garbage starting with the characters. I shouldn't have been fooled by the false advertising. Luckily, I only paid a buck to see it. Sexual content is very inappropriate. There is a scene that implies that a couple just had sex, you see their shoulders up to their head and their whole bodies are covered by a blanket. Although in the unrated cut you see five seconds showing the characters having sex, but it isn't graphic and would still warrant a PG-13 rating. There are numerous suggestive references that flirt with an R rating sometimes. A man says that a girl's glasses are giving him "wood" implying an erection. Another girl comments on a girl's pubic region. A woman tells a man that her dad won't be home, implying premarital sex. Violence, while not grotesque or bloody, is still strong. There are several images of disturbing images and a murder committed. The whole plot deals about an unborn child that haunts her sister, for her brother not being born. Language is also inappropriate as well. Characters say the b word, use scatological terms, drop the f bomb once, and use very crude and sexual references. There are no positive role models, nor messages.
This is one of the few horror movies that actually has a story line and a plot. There are a couple of scares but they arn't extreme and with very little blood. Good movie but not for liitle kids
This movie was entertaining and was definitley tame for a horror movie. I'm sure kids 9 and above could handle it. As long as you go through the talk about its not real. They should be fine. mostly jump scares anyway.
