What Parents Need to Know
About Musicology
Parents need to know that while heavy on the funk of old, this album avoids the old Prince in a couple of ways. The questionable lyrics of his past are gone and he no longer tries the delicate balancing act between God and his libido (there's a little bit of the latter, but it's hardly explicit).

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the positive messages here, such as the anti-alcohol sentiment, for example. Ask your teens if they think Prince can be popular without focusing on sex, drugs and alcohol. Why do they think so many other artists focus on shock value instead of music?
