Love the offspring. Good for teens looking for a well-played band.

What Parents Need to Know
About Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace
Parents need to know that The Offspring's edgy songs contain four-letter words and a lot of violent metaphors. On the plus side, the lyrics are so clever -- and sometimes barely audible -- that they don't come across as really offensive. Songs also explore the dark side of relationships, self-image, and world events with a slight glimmer of redemption and hope.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the song "Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?" How do you communicate with a friend or family member who seems to be troubled? Are there special techniques you can learn for helping or is just being there, and being a good friend, enough?

Good Album
This is a really good album. Some of the songs deal with violence, e.g. "Smoke and dust, enemies I crush, nothing left where a man once stood." And I think two say the f-word.

A great, catchy album.
My main concern when looking for this cd was the strong language, but I managed to get around that. There actually is an edited version available if you want it, but only at Walmart and walmart.com (the words aren't replaced, just silenced, but it's still edited). I really like the album, especially the song Kristy, Are You Doing Okay? The songs are very catchy and well written. I recommend this cd to anyone who likes rock or punk music.

No young kids
One song on this album is my favorite song, but they say a few f words. And this may teach younger people to say those words. There are no violence or sex issues though.
