The parents' guide to what's in this podcast.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that ABC KIDS Soundwalks is an Australia-produced meditation pod that aims to teach kids how to grow emotionally and socially. This show may be very helpful for kids who experience anxiety or need a few extra lessons in managing their emotions. Because it is an Australian produced podcast, it may be more difficult to find, as it is on fewer American streaming services than is typical. Parents will love that there is no adult content in this show – it is truly one for all ages. Hosts Teo Gebert and Rachel Coopes gently guide listeners through personal and social conflicts that may arise at school or at home (like stress and anxiety), providing solutions to keep in mind before these issues arise, if they haven't already. Additionally, while Soundwalks is geared toward kids, these lessons can be helpful for families to listen and relax to together. The lessons taught encourage character strength growth, and will aid kids in developing integrity, empathy, teamwork, and perseverance.
